  1. Can we get the sources? This is interesting and I wanna make sure some of it isn't wiki-related stuff. Cuz sharkill had "lore" when he got implemented at the end of MV surge's lifespan but he had ingame portraits way before when rockhippo was still the owners of microvolts, so it could be hard to tell. He could probably not even be brazilian originally or maybe he always was. I still remember the lore community thing rockhippo did for people to make "canon" lore for the game.
  2. nah I remember claymore being the largest melee weapon in the game, which sucked cuz it made it's hitbox unreliable.
  3. Pretty sure that's illegal anyway. Also the underhanded aggression with your response leads me to believe that you only want to scam others as well. "It's not your problem" then don't post it here and make it other people's problem. Simple.
  4. Our job situation is rough enough in america, no thanks. Anyway stop trying to scam people on the forums with your sob story, whether its real or not this is not the place for it.
  5. there's ANOTHER MV clone? jeez
  6. ???????????????????????????????
  7. I feel like what made surge better was the "if everyone is OP then nobody is" thing they had going on. The meta was busted but you could AT LEAST get quick kills, which is what the game was meant for. Microvolts is a TDM styled game, if people take too long to kill with normal weapons, and too easily killed with one-shot weapons, then the balance shifts horribly and the game becomes extremely unfun. Alot of the weapons in surge, albeit unbalanced, felt powerful enough to still nab you some kills regardless if you had worse weapons. I remember being one of the worst players with god weapons because there was still a large learning curve and skill gap between OP weapons and player skills. I feel like swapping outweighed god weapons and I was glad for that....I kind of miss it. I remember all the pro players using MP sets beating people with god weapons because, I hate to say it, even with the OP stuff going on it was still a fairly decent meta. I feel the main issue that nuked surge was the sets and set bonuses moreso than the weapon meta, which iirc they did nerf god weapons afew times so it was ALMOST close to being great, until we got new devs that gave us the ronin set and naomi maid set etc. Tank HP sets needed to be nerfed abit and never got that desired nerf, and speed sets probably should have been nerfed as well, meanwhile these betas were just a gigantic mess and already leaves a bad impression for the state of the game. tl;dr I just wish the developers would be more active and listen to us, or revert the game to surge, it was better then.
  8. Gunna have to heavily disagree with most of what you've said, especially what I bolded. There's a difference between patience and knowing the history of the developers. This isn't the first game they've nuked into the ground and as much as I want to be nice to them, we still need to be less "blindly optimistic" and more skeptical. Blaming the community for "being impatient" is such a poor take I see around the forums often and it's abit upsetting considering it's got no weight behind it and gives developers an excuse to not communicate and do whatever they want. Obviously I'm not their boss, I can't tell them what to do and they can do whatever they want, but they have a game to maintain so it'll heavily impact what happens if they continue with the silent mindset. Please don't white knight for the developers, they're people yes, but they're still running a company. They've communicated recently after quite some time, which is good, but it should continue being that way and not some one-off thing that rarely happens. It's the lack of communication that causes people to """be impatient""", because during the first beta when they were active, people were patient and the communication had a nice flow. "Weapon balancing is the least of my concern" is probably the worst take I've seen on the forums. This game is niche, thats an objective truth, it doesn't have the wiggle room to have constantly bad weapon balancing and the time for it (games like fortnite and csgo do). Not to mention the gameplay is pretty dated, it's fun sure, but it won't be to everyones tastes and the moment they get hit with back to back "bad balance" updates, they're going to leave and the game / company is going to bleed revenue. Weapon balancing is literally the biggest part to keeping the game relevant and if the game is unfun due to this, people will leave. Microvolts doesn't have the playerbase to keep it sustained so they need to get it right on the first few tries or it's game over, especially for newer players. "People got used to the old ways and don't want to change back, however this is why we need another beta." What, that's because it felt more balanced before, even amidst the chaos of god weapons in surge (or the first beta for recharged). We don't need another beta, we need more active communication between the devs, they clearly aren't the best at what they're doing (again, especially with their history), but waiting months upon months for afew changes in a beta just to wait more months instead of them just talking to the people who've played the game before is pretty painful to experience. They listened to us but again, since lack of communication, they exaggerated the changes we wanted (and didn't really fix any bugs either). I hope they do communicate more, as they did recently but already gone silent, so only time will tell...but they won't have much "time" if they mess up again. The 2nd beta was already a huge turn off for the community so a 3rd bad beta could be the nail in the coffin for microvolts.
  9. You mean Missions (english)?
  10. The servers are closed right now, so chances are if they were open it might have been an accident and done for testing purposes.
  11. Please keep these up, they're so cute aaaaaa
  12. lmao 1GB for UI changes.
  13. They're probably trolling yeah, tho tbf 2k hours is a pretty big amount of time for a game. That's 83 days which was more than I had in the game (not that I even played that much)
  14. I agree, the old system had more flaws than it had upsides, and I'm hoping they make it better because of how pointlessly painful it could be just to upgrade something to max it out when games nowadays make it easier to progress gear.
  15. Yeah it sucks that the trade system may be perma-scrapped. It made getting repeats worth it.
  16. This is the sad truth unfortunately. As much as some of us really want to help them manage the game and forums, they seem to be set in their own ways and not willing to part with company tradition, at least going based off of how they treated their other games.
  17. We? I don't know about you but some of us might be investing money into the game, and if it's going to be run the way it currently is then no amount of delays will cover for their lack of expertise. The right move would be to just communicate more, the total opposite of what they're doing.
  18. I still have many doubts, at this point I'm just watching from the sidelines and keeping my hopes to a minimum.
  19. I've suggested community moderators several times and they never seemed to have interest or "a need" for them when they used to reply to the concept. They seem to be very distant for some weird reason, they don't want to make an official discord or anything either. I would really wanna help moderate the community, if not me then maybe Volt or someone else (or both of us?) who can just help keep things in check. For the record, just because we suggest moderators, doesn't mean it's some weird power trip or "I'm better than you now" thing, it's because ofthe lack of care and attention the community has been receiving and sometimes people get alittle too heated and end up insulting each other. There could easily just be a moderator run poll with candidates for moderators and the community could vote for like, say,2 - 3 people to be mods out of a pool of like 10 people for example. I just want to see this game live man....everytime I check the forum I get sad because of all the wasted potential and seeing people share the same sentiment.
  20. Wanted to update my thoughts on this, they replied to a ticket I sent and the information is confirmed real. So I wanted to apologize for being blunt with my statements. Still, I would wait for information here (on the forums) as opposed to going to outside sources for safety purposes.
  21. You need to calm down, that's the issue. Stop with the "everyone but me is wrong" attitude, you're not the main character of life. Instead of acting high and mighty you could just, you know, ignore them. This isn't meant to be a personal attack, I just dislike the claims of "everyone is weird, and I'm the only sane one here". Get out of this mindset, it's not healthy.
