  1. Good meme, although I'm pretty sure the team behind the tournaments are consisted with different individuals. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
She is saying that the despite the newly added Xigncode anti-cheat, cheaters are still present on the game, allegedly with aimbots, speed boost and also unnatural use of snipers and rifles. Apparently some players have 2560 health points (?) Afaik, all the characters have 2000 health points. She also recorded footage of those players in action, and sent to Steam for cheating analysis. Not sure if what she saying is an actual concern, I'm just here breaking the language barrier.
  4. Once upon a time, there was toys. Toys were evil, toys didn't want to stay togheter, toys need to fight in order to be the only one remaining. So the toys started battling each other because they want. Toys want something out of their lives. Toys want to be played with. Toys are fun. Toys want attention of their owner. So toys started killing and dismantling each other for dominance. At the end, there was no owner. The owner was too busy on the computer, playing MicroVolts: Surge.
  5. I think this is all a mess, they're trying to unify an account between their games in MasangGames, but their server/account provider it's pretty bad and unreliable. I tried to delete this account to create another with a different email but it was a solid mess I've made because of the server or whatever. I got even a hard time changing my password.
  6. Website ignored my formatting, can't paste links.
  7. Unfinished games have always existed, since the beginning of gaming. Here is an example of N64 half-baked game. Those will not go away anytime soon because the nature of the relationship between money and the industry. Some studios really like the idea of milking money out of games just because this industry more valued than any other. I agree, so many bad games this year, LoTR: Gollum, Redfall, Jedi Survivor, Forspoken (Forspoken is not even glitchy or bad, just a completely MID and cringey game, makes me feel nothing). I get your expectations are like this and so do is mine. Good thing is that Leo with MasangSoft are most likely NOT trying to make AAA game. I believe MicroVolts it's on the weaker side of gaming, it's just as notorious as some indie games nowadays. The good part of being "underground" — so to speak — is that you probably won't make much profit, your game is destined to not be played by many people because there is no much of interest. 100% of those PRETTY BAD games we can admit that it just a cash grab. There is no inspiration in such games, nothing new to see here, just a way to make some money. MicroVolts is probably not these kinda of games, it doesn't make sense, there is not enough engagement to make a profit of this game even if the leadership was the most evil. They would be destroying something that is already "destroyed" and people would just get out of the boat, end of MV, it's now a matter of another developer to make a game with the same aesthetic, that's it. I said before in this forum, but I'd like to reiterate this: everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY — have an idea of what a 2023 version of MicroVolts should be, EVERYBODY. Some wants the game to have graphical updates, engine updates, remove characters, add characters, "do not change anything" people, "change everything" people. A divided fanbase is inevitable for this game because everybody has an idea of how this game should be updated and I believe it's a matter of acceptance, communication and collaboration to seek and agreement of how the fuck this game should be. Okay, another thing is that, it's the exact same game. They haven't changed a thing on it's core, so if you remember bugs from 10 years ago, they're probably still there AND it's good to bring them to the public view, because that's the way of fixing them. Yeah, swap is not a feature. Other than that, it's the exact same thing.
  8. That's some pretty good sketches, I like it! Excited to see the coloured version 😆 I mean, I bet no one here haven't complained and doubted MasangSoft's competence... I'm tired of it, I'm already seeing that the game I want will never come out of this. Everyone here apparently has a different vision of what a 2023 version of MicroVolts should be, and a perfectly divided MV's fanbase is inevitable under the current circumstances That's what happens when you try to revive a dead live service from 10 years ago. It's actually pretty realistic to think they can't make this game live enough after release 1.0, there all reasons for that that were extensively discussed throughout the forums. Lack of communication, no road-map, no regular releases (something like Paladins' Open Beta), game engine from 2005 (makes adding content really difficult and time-consuming), balancing of the game, they can't monetize the game only to OG players, new players should come and receive a modernized experience in order to monetize and grow further... and so on. I'm completely pessimistic about MV's future ... at least I would be happy to know that this game didn't die again. Only a really really comprehensive and passionate game designer can solve that many problems UNDER the budget limitations WHILE still manages to please most of the fanbase. MasangSoft have some really strong weight on their backs right now, probably going through the wrong way I'd argue. I mean I don't know their plans (again, no road-map), only the problems they have to solve.
  9. Glad I could help 😌
  10. It's a little more offensive than that: "D*ck in the devs that wont launch the game" Well I didn't expect brazilians to help this project much, yet the only ones I've saw in this forum (as far as I can tell) were just being stupid beings ...
  11. Bad Kitty... It's kinda sad in a certain way because the game will apparently not evolve even though is being re-released after 10 years, the expectations is that the game would be at least modernized in the aspects it need (not talking about graphics), and clearly has in some, like the removal of P2W components. I guess it will be just a "original version" of ToyHereos without P2W.
  12. I mean textures updates would be fine to me, especially if it's "remastering" the older textures, giving a better definition (higher resolutions) and that's a thing that can actually be done with the current circumstances, but my man is talking about porting the game to Unreal Engine 5 which basically means redoing the entire thing, which is ... unrealistic (?) Certainly can be done, but would require a lot of time to MasangSoft to work and also could be a shoot in the foot if the game is unable to run properly due to bad optimizations giving that the game would be calculating lighting in real-time and probably would receive higher-detailed models. Still quite unrealistic in my perspective ...
  13. Yeah I'm entirely aware of this technique, was all over the place in older games because it was the least demanding in hardware. It's quite literally called "baked textures" or "baked lighting" and yeah everything you said about moving objects is a thing that can't happen because of the technique limitation.
  14. My mistake, correction: Closed Betas I think posting this is illegal, but I just wanna share this screenshot proving that is indeed Gamebyro
  15. I actually decompiled the game's assets, and indeed the game uses Gamebyro engine. Although a visual upgrade would be fun, it would require MasangSoft to rebuild the game entirely from scratch. This takes LOT of time and seeing that they are right off the bat releasing Open Betas, the dream of the entire game being built from scratch is far from being real. Personally, I wouldn't see this as a priority because the game runs like a butter in any system, with the addition of looking super unique compared to all those dog's water Unreal Engine games (not generalizing, but they all look the god damn same game and they can't even run properly). But I get that your point is to appeal to newer generation, but man I fear this so much. The game kinda has a pleasant vibe and responsiveness that are very unlikely to be perfectly matched with the original one. Only really caring developers would handle this situation, which we don't have a good answer to. Concluding, they had a lot of time to do this already, but MasangSoft haven't did it and they don't seem particularly attracted to rebuilding the game completely, neither are the community, just the ones that want the game to look like Fortnite at some point. Either way, I wanna know how it would go.
  16. Well, althought legitemaly this could work, that's not how MicroVolts work or at least how MicroVolts players expect from the game. MV since of its inception is a grinding game, you p(L)ay to get better equipment and then make your way into the top, as well as learning unexpected bugs to take advantage of them instead of reporting them. *cof cof swapping For this to be a little less painful, the game give you the best weapons in stats to try for 7 days after you complete the tutorial. Even with that, I still think this game is pain to understand for a new player, you shot a guy 5 times in the head with the default shotgun and they don't die, then the same guy just blast some shotgun and you die immediatly. It's hella frustrating to get the hang of it, just like Team Fortress 2. The community is mostly concerned about the integrity of the game, they want a familiar experience and wouldn't be possible if the game get all those key aspects removed.
  17. I mean, ToyHereos was always around. If you REALLY like the way the old MV works, just play ToyHereos. If MasangSoft really cared they would put ToyHereos down already (They can still can do that in the MV Recharged release, undoubtedly) luckily for you, it's still there, play it then. Furthermore, P2W doesn't work in modern society, everybody is done with this system and — if there is somewhere that is P2W — it's probably powered by kids/childish mind who doesn't known how to manage their money or use their parents' money. You can argue that P2W does keep the game alive, it may be true, but that's just straight player wealth abuse because it's literally forcing players to spend their money (or unbelievably amounts of grind time) to be "good" in the game. What about get better in the game purely by playing the game and learning about it? Like, in a normal game? An equal system it's fair for everybody because it's fully based on player experience with the game, and not with god weapons or armor stats you got with liquid money. This system, accompanied by a good matchmaking team pairing, it's a recipe of a good, fun and fair experience for everyone. If you lose, it's your team fault.
  18. Sure it is, I would be quite impressed if they manage to get them back 🙂 Yes, the language localization is probably in very low priority since neither the original MV was properly localized anyways kek
  19. As an audio expert, not sure how without the original recordings... there ain't such thing as an "AI audio upscaler" yet and if there is, it probably sounds a little artificial 😕 The most natural way is probably getting those voice actors back, which can be unbelievably hard for MasangSoft. Replacing those iconic voices would be a recipe for community backlash, and it kinda happened already. Players here in the first beta apparently were very mixed about the new weapon sounds, imagine how many people would dislike the voices being replaced instead. Agreed that would a nice option to have, let's hope it's coming in v1.0 not only for those languages, but for all our fellow European friends (Italian, French, Portuguese, ...) and for other major languages (Spanish, Chinese ...), for those who want to play the game dubbed 🙂 although that's a pretty optimistic view and has 96.7% chance of NOT happening in the v1.0
  20. That would be so cool! Specially for Japanese and Korean which tends to sound the best and the funniest one as well IMO. The original english voicelines are in a low quality-bitrate situation though, I bet they don't have the original mic-quality version of the same English voicelines :S
  21. I'm not sure about that. The original MV was about grinding as well; It did work (?) but, personally, I don't think this system works nowadays. See, old players will always have the so called "good" weapons because they grinded for it, that makes sense. However, since the game doesn't have any sort of matchmaking, it will be a nightmare to new players to get this going. It is not fun to be killed over and over again not from skill issue, not because you are bad at aiming or using your weapons, it's because you haven't grinded yet, "foolish of you trying to have fun in MV without grinding!!!" New players will leave the game out of short-term frustation. Of course there is a lot of people to tell them along the way and there's also the tutorial gift boxes, still not very convenient either. I already sent suggestions about it making the weapons stats uniform here, don't think they will do it as the community is more over the opposite side (more authenticity from the original).
  22. Yes yes, I agree. These kinds of things really really fits very naturally in MV and I love it. I was talking more about the back-end of the game such as weapon stats, players speed and all this stuff "under the table" that would be nice if was modernized to create more fair opportunities to fight against other players, especially for new players who doesn't know nothing and just want to have some fun.
  23. I found MV attractive for its uniqueness in appearance, mechanics, characters and the music rather than the TPS factor of killing other players to assert dominance, but that doesn't matter because it's subjective. So, personally, I don't find this conclusion valid because it's more about how you play the game, there always will be players like that. Heck, I think probably there is still some old MV players who like to assert competitiveness for some reason right here. But I see your point, I would like MV's back-end to be modernized to fit the new potential players the new decade has to offer. Of course they would fail if they only try to sell their game to the old MV players with old metagame systems and frustrating experience to new players.
