  1. Thank you for sharing your opinions.

Saying heart broken makes me especially sad.
We feel so sorry for you that we couldn't make up to your expectations

Our MVR team members are reviewing all the feedbacks you gave us internally,
It's a shame that we couldn't show you the parts that weren't developed yet.

We are planning to start the official service as soon as we are ready after this CBT,
What we can promise you is that the official opening is just the beginning, and we will continue to improve on the shortcomings.
And we are looking at this service in the long run.
If we overcome a lot of challenges, from small to big, one by one, many years or more,
We'll be able to create a more complete service someday.
Our goal is to service a "Happy Microvolts" for all players, during in my lifetime.

I would like to express how delighted I am that I have been given the chance to bring Microvolts back to life.
Our MVR team will make every effort to succeed.
We kindly ask for your continuous support, constructive feedback, and assistance.

As for the Limited Capsule, we aimed to deliver an exciting gacha experience while also providing a way to spend accumulated MP over the long-term service.
One of our main concerns was to restrict excessive MP consumption, so we designed that once you obtain an item from the capsule, it will not be available for future draws.
For example, if there are a total of 100 items, after drawing 100 times, you will own the entire collection.
The item contents are currently fixed when newly generated, but in the official release, we intend to have a random element, so players may have a chance to get a more favorable capsule box.
Over time, among the capsule boxes that have lost their ownership, players can find the most suitable ones for themselves, allowing players can enjoy the fun of getting the item they want with a small amount of MP.

We are aware of the high cost of RT, and we have forwarded the feedback to the BM team. While the item acquisition rate may affect the proportions, overall adjustments will be made.

Regarding the blurriness issue at the resolution of 2560x1440, could you please take a screenshot during this week's CBT and share it with us?  If the blurriness is caused by low-quality textures, there is no current solution due to cost constraints.
(This part needs resource remastering might be needed, which could be considered if more users enjoy the game in the future.)
However, there have been reports that this issue was not present during CBT 2.0, so we would like to review it again to determine if it's a bug.

Thank you for your support in helping Microvolts provide a joyful experience.
We will continue our efforts to improve the game.

  3. We aim for No P2W, and the specifications of all items are the same.
The most basic skin consists of 100 MP, and you can configure several sets to customize and adjust the stats you want.
There were supposed to be 3 types of weapons, but only 1 type has been patched, so this week's patch will add more weapons.
A number of awesome weapon and equipment skins will be added in the future.

  4. Thank you for sharing your opinions. We are trying to analyze and solve the areas where the service is not stable.

The rifle is being prioritized for review due to many people providing their opinions.
Limited Capsule seems to be misunderstood due to the lack of guidance. We are considering adding information about these parts to the website to provide better explanations and prevent any further confusion.

We are currently in the process of implementing presets, and we wanted to include them in the first week of CBT. However, there are still some unstable aspects, so we plan to add them as soon as they are ready.
We have also been ambitious about adding replays, but there have been issues with bugs and server crashes. Currently, we are working on fixing these problems, and once everything is sorted out, we will activate the replay feature again.

We would have liked to present a more complete appearance, but unfortunately, we feel regretful about not being able to do so. There are still many contents that we are currently preparing, and thus, they have not been showcased yet.
Though it may not be visible, we assure you that a lot of effort is being put into preparing for the official launch.

Our MVR team hopes you continue to watch over us, and we appreciate both your support and constructive feedback.

    Thank you

Currently, there are no plans to apply or replace solutions other than XIGNCODE3.
However, we will internally review the solution you recommended.
We do not believe that all anti-cheat software can solve every issue, but we are planning to address these concerns through the reporting feature in replays.
Our team also agrees that the service is crucial and will strive to create a favorable service environment.

  8. Hello. We will review your feedback.
The Sniper weapon will offer single-zoom and double-zoom options. In addition, we are constantly working on stabilizing our services.
The replay system has an internal problem and will be normalized as soon as the fix is completed.
We are aware of the high cost of RT, and we have forwarded the feedback to the BM team.
While the item acquisition rate may affect the proportions, overall adjustments will be made.
    Thank you.

  9. Thank you for your feedback.

We will review the points you mentioned.

Regarding the sniper's double zoom and single zoom, we plan to offer both options, and they will be included in this week's patch.

The accuracy of rifles has received significant feedback from many players, and we have prioritized it for review and consideration by our design team.

We understand that anti-cheat solutions like XIGNCODE cannot prevent everything, so we aim to supplement it through the reporting feature in replays.

    Thank you for your support.

  10. Thank you for your feedback.

Currently, we are minimizing the variety of items, and we intend to provide price information in advance. Our goal is to maintain a No P2W (Pay-to-Win) environment, where all items have the same specifications.
The most basic skin will be available for 100 MP, and players can customize their sets and adjust the stats according to their preferences by tuning.

Regarding the weapons, there were supposed to be three types, but only one type was included. We plan to add the missing types in this week's patch.

As for the Discord block issue, we have internally investigated the reason for the block.
We have received the operation guidelines from the operations team and asked them to operate more flexibly for the part where rather strict operating standards are applied.
The block will be released soon. If the block is not released, please give us feedback again.

In my experience with various communities, I've seen cases where blocks were imposed due to not aligning with the administrators' views, leading to a fear-based atmosphere that hinders free communication.
I hope that at least on the official Microvolts forum and Discord, we can have open communication without such restrictions (even if it means people expressing negative opinions about us).
While adult content and advertisements are inevitable concerns (please be cautious), we have requested to uphold internal operation standards and maintain transparency in our operations.
Please keep an eye on the future steps.

We are currently conducting CBT and internal testing to refine the game and we are putting in efforts to make Microvolts an enjoyable experience for players.

  12. Thank you for your feedback.

Our development team is currently reviewing the feedback and discussing it for this week's patch.
For the sniper, we plan to offer both double zoom and single zoom options.
Regarding the rifle, we have received a lot of feedback, and the balance is being reviewed by our desisgn team.
As for the battery charging and reinforcement, we've acknowledged that the current UI is inconvenient, and we are currently working on a complete overhaul.
Due to the schedule, it may not be reflected in the official release.

We are aware of the instability of the service and plan to address them by collecting client dumps and various logs during the CBT to make improvements.

We will do our best to meet your expectations.
    Thank you for your interest.

  13. Hello, players!

Firstly, I sincerely apologize for the delay in updating the news.
Our dev team has been making huge efforts to prepare for releasing Microvolts. It is grateful to enter the last phase for opening the new Microvolts’ world.

After analyzing the data and feedback related to the 2nd CBT, we realize that there are essential parts to improve. Especially, policies for protecting equality for players and dealing with hacking and abuse are needed. If we can solve these issues, it would be easier to enjoy the game I dream of and pursue lifetime game service.

Therefore, we will add a replay system. You can watch the replay video in-game, enabling you to report cheating with this replay system. The replay system is under development, but we finished making the main function. I recorded a demo video. Please stay tuned 🙂

We aim to release Microvolts around this August. Before the official release, the last CBT is expected as well. When we release the game, Europe which has most of the players will be the main server. The sub-area is fixed including North America, South America, Middle East, East Asia and Southeast Asia. We may change sub-channels depending on the number of players.

It is a great honor to get a chance to revive Microvolts. The dev team will try our best to release the game for sure. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers,
    PD Leo

Will there be an option for us players to make maps for the game? Because i know that im not the only one that wants to map for this game.

If so what will we as players need to install in order to map for the game? Because i for one want to map for it either for fun or for a mini-competition made for mappers i guess. I already asked a question like before but i didnt get an answer from anybody.. sadge 🥲🥲🥲. So this time i would like an answer. I know the team isn't that big or has a big bugdet. I already have a map im working for named 'Toy Train' or 'Rumpus Train' and i dont really want for work for this, so it doesn't even gets reviewed by the dev team or mapping team.

Unfortunately, we haven't thought about adding the community-created content to the official service.
(There might be some issues like copyright disputes as well)
As for now, maybe you can share your brilliant ideas so that we can refer to them for future content updates?

It was the best childhood game of my life.

Thanks, I am very glad to get a chance to bring the game back to life!!

Microvolts Recharged will be a long-term project for me. If we can improve the game step by step from small bugs to the biggest problem over time, even if it takes several years or longer, I think the game will be finally in a more refined and completed stage.  The longevity of Microvolts, until their teenage fans become their 40s or 50s, that's my dream!

We will try our best, and we need your support, criticism, and help.

    Intro

So I have played the Beta quite a bit I would say, I have reached level 24/25 so I think I got a good feel for the state of the game. Overall it felt fun but there are some things which need to be addresses.

    Melee weapons

Melee weapons felt okay, they all kinda felt samey though, run speed wise there didn't seem to be much difference and it was mostly down to damage, with the Chainsaw being the clear winner as it can easily 1 shot people with the right click. I think perhaps a bigger difference in terms of run speed would put each individual melee weapon apart from each other but overall I thought they were fine as they are.

    Rifles

Now compared to Melee weapons rifles felt quite different from one counterpart to another. The Sherlock was quite nice to play with, especially if you upgrade it in accuracy but it really felt like a pea-shooter, it's quite low damage and I think a slight damage increase would make it a bit nicer, I understand it's meant to be a low damage highly accurate gun as it is but the kill time with it on a full health player is quite awful. Pepper and the other gold MP5 looking rifle felt quite good, nice damage, decent accuracy and rate of fire this was clearly meta as I found most people using this variant of rifles. The Hornet in contrast felt awful, high damage, but horrendous accuracy and snail like rate of fire made it quite bad to play with in my opinion I think the Hornet would become a lot better with a bit of a fire rate buff.

    Shotguns

Shotguns in general felt quite underpowered. I saw someone say in game this was due to the pellet count being decreased, which if so, I think is quite a roundabout way of nerfing the damage of shotguns, but either way they felt quite underpowered and I never once managed to 1 shot people with shotguns even at really close rage, which is a little concerning considering there is an achievement from one shotting people multiple times in a match with the shotgun in the game. The Bombard felt the best shotgun to use as it has a nice balance of power, accuracy and mag size. The KW felt like a pea shooter, but I guess it does have a larger mag size and a faster rate of fire to make up for it? The Driver felt okay? I can see the niche it's trying to fill in the game but honestly due to shotguns in general feeling quite underpowered I think people will just overlook it.

    Snipers

So I didn't actually play with the Mist but I did try the Sea Eagle and the Venom so here are my thoughts on them. The Sea Eagle feels good, able to one-shot, with quick zoom in and high rate of fire, perhaps the rate of fire could be nerfed just slightly, not make it as slow as the Venom but perhaps just slightly slower than what it currently is. The Venom was probably my favourite of the two, yes it reloads much slower and zooms in slower too compared to the Sea Eagle but once you upgrade it in damage and it gets up to 3000 power it will literally one shot people if you hit them anywhere on the body (should probably be nerfed when hitting people in the legs and arms so as to not be able to one shot them there) which felt quite rewarding. Again unfortunately I didn't play with the Mist so I can't give my thoughts on it >W<

    MGs

MGs as they stand feel very balanced, you have the crank which is a high power MG but with a slow wind up time, and the firefly which is the opposite, lower damage output with much faster wind up time and then the DareDev which sits nicely in the middle. I don't think MGs need any buffs or nerfs as they stand they feel quite nice to play with to be honest, they fill their role quite nicely.

    Bazookas and Grenade Launchers

Honestly these two categories felt so much better than what I remember from them from the Surge days. The nerf to Blast radius and damage was quite nice, they are still quite usable especially when used to create space between you and your opponent or trying to get someone to pop out from behind cover. In my opinion these two categories of weapons are at the moment in quite a nice state, perhaps some people might argue for a larger blast radius whilst keeping the lower damage or slightly higher damage but keeping the lower blast radius but in my opinion they felt nice, not too powerful but not useless either.

    Upgrade System

I think the upgrade system as it stands feels alright, quite the change from the old one, but I think this one is much fairer, giving players options on how they choose to use certain weapons and build those weapons according to their playstyles whilst still keeping them fair. I hope we don't see a return of the fail mechanics of the upgrade system though I think that if we have the required amount of currency and resources (battery charge) the upgrades should always go through. Although a suggestion would be to perhaps have 5 levels of upgrades, with each one allowing you to upgrade your weapon slightly in a certain stat, so for example I could get 2 power upgrades on a sniper and then 3 reload speed, or 1 in power 2 in reload speed and 2 in zoom in speed, etc... these exact numbers for the stat changes in each upgrade could be determined by the devs, I don't think I'm really in a position to make a call here, but I would say enough to where there would be noticeable change.

    Miscellaneous

With regards to tank sets, going full tank on parts, I think as the snipers stand at the moment, it's fine? You are able to tank a sniper shot to the body from a Sea Eagle whilst a Venom will still 1 shot you. I think this is fair as the Venom has obvious drawbacks compared to the Sea Eagle but when you take into account other weapons, full tank sets can make fights a lot longer, for example if someone is using the Sherlock or a shotgun, but I think this is more down to tuning those weapons so that they are a little more reliable than nerfing tank sets. I found that the middle ground option on parts as the most appealing one for me, you still get a decent amount of extra HP whilst still getting a run speed boost, I really didn't feel compelled to switch to either a full tank set or a full run speed set as the middle ground option is quite nice, perhaps I would play a full speed set if I was mostly focusing on capture the battery but other than that I see no other reason to play it. I think the removal of the damage negation stats (bullets and explosive damage) is good, I think these have no place in the game. Accessories felt good they give a little extra ammo on certain weapon types of your choosing whilst not making your ammo reserves seem almost endless. With regards to health and ammo drops I think having them on fixed points on the map is fine, but I would also like to see them being dropped by players once you kill them like they used to back in the day, I think this wouldn't force you to play around certain spots as much and allow you to keep you going a little longer too. With regards to bugs I didn't really encounter many, I know there are some people which will still remember old glitches and how to go through walls on certain maps but I cannot speak for those things. There was one bug which I encountered on my first match. It was on Chess and every time I killed this one Sophitia her textures would bug out and kinda tear across my screen, unfortunately I don't have a picture of this to show and I have no clue whether it was due to a certain part they were wearing or what but it was really only this one Sophitia player and I never encountered that bug again during my time in the beta.

    Conclusion

Overall I had fun in this beta. There are some issues which need to be addressed in regards to weapon balance but overall I think the game is in a decent state. I'm sure I would've enjoyed it even more if there was a sense of real progression, which we will obviously get once the game fully releases. On a side note I think the new level badges are okay but not as great as the old ones, I think the olds ones had more attractiveness to them, they were more appealing, but I don't think these new ones are awful either, I only managed to see the ones up to like level 30 ish as there were some level 30-40 players in some lobbies. But all in all, I think this was a positive beta, some good changes done to the game from what I remember from Surge, I unfortunately didn't get in the first beta so I cannot compare to that but yeah, thumbs up from me. Hope to see some more positive changes in the next phase of the game be it a closed or an open beta 🙂

Thanks for taking part in the beta testing, and for your precious feedback.

I wanted feedback with a different perspective from a player who has newly joined beta 2.0, thank you. 🙂
Each section you've pointed out will be reviewed by the dev team, and it will help us refine Microvolts Recharged more!

Thanks again for your support in bringing back Microvolts everyone loved. We will do our best!
