Leveling up quickly serves no purpose

It makes absolutely no sense when everyone's leveling is skyrocketing, so I ask what is the meaning of it?
leveling up big has no purpose other than slowing down your MP search, so getting to 999 is almost impossible, so make leveling up big to unlock something, like running or attack speed
or will earn more MP according to your level zone
