  1. If paid items have even the slightest bit of an advantage compared to their "free" counterparts then the game becomes pay to win. Your resoning is to make them have the slightest bit of a difference but if you give them such a small difference then theres no point in buying them. The point system could be interesting but i doubt they would be taking that route due to removing some player freedom (which isnt super bad) and also put more work on their plate, plus its even more balancing that they would have to worry about. So the more traditional approach would be better, however this could be made into a new game mode. You get a certain ammount of points to spend on your loadout where you can spend them in all weapons to either unlock their usage or upgrade them. As the game goes on you would get more points to spend on your equipment further making you question yourself if its worth doubling down and upgrading your equipment and keep your specialized role or try to cover its weaknesses by spending some points in a different weapon to add to your loadout.

I thought my swapping was weird, but it seems it's just called "ninja swapping" xd

I prefer to have a distinction between them since while the end result is the same the way you achieve it is vastly different and one of them has a bit of an advantage.

as much as i love this game, there is one other aspect of things that is concerning, though it's one that masangsoft can't really do anything about:

a lot of live service game models are really difficult to get going nowadays- onboarding is more difficult and the market has become so oversaturated that its hard to be successful... while the pandemic definitely was a factor in the past i think the tricky part is getting a game like this off the ground, especially given it's steep learning curve and playerbase that is known to be a bit toxic.

i still of course want to see what they do with it! and it could definitely work out, but if masangsoft is struggling managing their IPs, that could explain the lack of beta testing and whatnot

short version: stuff's complicated, not only just in working with such an old game engine, but in the state of this type of game in the market! : o

If the game got ported over to a newer engine with a new coat of paint i could see more folk moving in, slap a proper tutorial teaching people how to swap while simultaniously nerfing the speed you can ninja swap( Swapping is when you shoot hit the key you have bound to equip your previously used weapon twice quickly then shoot again while ninja swapping you go after the weapon keys instead, its more complicated but means you can swap slightly faster) this way newer people would learn a core part of the game and feel kinda cool about it because nothing beats mad finger skills.

As strange as it sounds, I'd actually be quite interested to read a Microvolts fanfic. As far as I know it'd be the first of it's kind and it would be interesting to see what sort of headcanons people produce

Yes that does sound quite good though im pretty sure the first few ones will be.. the other kind of fanfics, alongside other kind of..art

I mean outside of this posts that are actually nice we get a spam of new people or people who don't know english or people that don't check the forum asking when the game is coming, recently and spammed questions or why they can't download the game. People who don't like such posts can just ignore them, no one is asking them to click and comment too. I personally like Zissy's art.

Aye the art is quite nice, now to wait for people to start writting fanfics.

  6. The best course of action would be to change things as the beta goes according to what people say (weapon x is op so change it, movement feels weird so change it, move back to surge and go from there like most people fucking want)this way it would take a lot less time to get the game how people want and ship it out instead of giving us rigid betas with shit nobody wants or likes.

Well to answer one of your questions, in order to keep players playing you have to give them many reward systems simultaneously. People need a reason to play one more match and one more and one more and so on. This will to play is generated not only by the gameplay itself but by the grinding. Take ToyHeroes rn for example, they have 4 reward systems not counting the achivement system on their site. Knowing that you have a little more to play to get a reward, that may upgrade your weapons or give you any happiness gives you a reason to play. In addition there have to be monthly events, not only on Easter, new year, Halloween, Christmas and other smaller holidays. Players constantly need new capsule options, rotating iteams in the shop aside from the usual ones, boxes, points to aquire for additional even rewards. Like remember, at some point in MV there was a Christmas event on the site, and whenever u spent rt you got some kind of candies and stuff like that, and those candies literally got you the pandoral carolling sets. Also, I wanna add that whenever someone coments about p2w, you guys do not think about the wellbeing of the game, players will not spend as much money as they would without a bit of p2w and players who are complaining about p2w and would have not bought rt anyways will not buy it even with the game being p2w free. If you are not going to buy something in a game while it's p2w you are not going to buy it while it's just a skin, wether it's because you can't afford to or because you just don't want to. And just a reminder that not even mv could susrvive without p2w and mv had a bigger playerbase than the expected one for MVR when it releases because many gave up or don't even know about it, there are few to none new players, the game itself can not afford to stay alive just by having like 200 players at most playing. Games that are not p2w are usually on the phone and cheper to keep alive thus making a profit just with a few players playing, or big games that make a lot of money just by having pople play it, which is not the case for MVR nor will it ever be, sadly.

Another reason why keeping the upgrade system to 9 levels is a good idea, but making the actual impact it has on gameplay be small. Maxing out the weapon could unluck fancy particle effects.

    Holy sh... I feel old.

You and me both, think i was in 6th grade when a friend introduced me to the game. Still remember it like it was yesterday even though it was half my life ago.

Who was cheating day 1? The only one I actually saw using any cheats was no one but Gaby himself. I'd love to see some recordings or similar things of these cheaters cause I didn't experience any while playing o/

Some of the mv servers im in had some pics of people trying and a few others with folk using wallhacks. Though considering they havent really patched bugs or anything that matters its safe to assume old hacks still work.

  10. They just announced the 3.0 beta we have no idea what its about or what its changed, it could be a positive move, bringing it more to what surge used to be, or they could double down on their previous efforst of making every weapon feel weak by giving everyone 2 billion health.

finally someone who looks at facts instead of theories
    this company is broken
Once again I say and I repeat
    Us, microvolt players
we are simply wasting our time and wearing out the few remaining nerves, waiting for something that will never happen.
even if they eventually start doing something in the game, we've all seen that they are experts in minecraft
they were not made to take on such a burden.
    simple

If anything theyll just sell the rights of their games to other companies.

Can we just do a post about them releasing the next beta like surge used to be and see where we go from there, cause the first 2 were garbage and the balance is never going to work the way they want to. And that would be a brilliant starting point, anything that's not like their idea of a balanced game would be a better starting point to be honest.

That is what a lot of people have been saying, surge on the whole was fine, the problems were pay walls and one or two weapons that were op. If you remove the paywalls and say everyone can have whatever weapons they want you notice that the game had a pretty nice balance, it wasnt perfect but it worked quite well.

im not gonna lie yall been saying this for a while now, i get that u want to keep ur hopes up but at this point you are in denial, all we have been doing for 5 years is trying new games because this company doesnt know how to fix a game that was practically perfect when sold to them.

Im trying to promote some positivity because theres already way too much negativity in this site alongside having to deal with a lot of negativity on a daily basis. Is masangsoft rulled by a bunch of idiots ? Yes, are they souless assholes that dont know which direction to steer devs so they can finally release the fucking game ? Yes as well, we all know this by now, i just dont want people to be throwing insults around and losing their minds yet again. Ive been here since 2017, the wait is shit, their lack of communication is shit, but yelling at them and calling them names gets us nowhere so instead i try to keep peoples spirits up, have a little laugh every so often and enjoy being here trying to help out people who had a chilldhood similar to mine playing this mess of a game.

  14. Mate were all waiting for the game, it sucks but theres not much else we can do. Thinking its going to get cancelled is not a very good mindset to have, maybe try to focus on something else ? Learn how to juggle or try out a new game that has been in your wishlist since forever.

So I'm now curious if anyone knows why GM Levi changed his name to just MVR GM? Any conspiracy theories?

Lets not. Chances are they felt they werent doing a good enough job because of our constant complaints and might have stepped down. We have been waiting a long time but we should try to be civil, after all we are all human and have feelings. Who we should be angry towards are the higherups of masangsoft who call the shots, not the devs or gms.

    I'm agree

We waiting from 2017 and we got nothing

this company don't want to put any effort for this game

    It's clear

That is true and is something that everyone is already very aware of. Best advice i can give you is simply to focus on something else.
