  2. If the game manages to attract new players its going to be rough for them. We have people who pretty much never stopped playing since, for whatever ungodly reason, toyheroes never got shut down. Best we can do is be friendly towards new players and teach them the ropes since the devs dont seem to want to make a tutorial that actually teaches anything useful.

Feedback is okay, but sniper should never one hit under any circumstance. Sniper in this game is low risk high reward, high zoom speed, high damage, reloads when you unequip it, game is 3rd person so you can line up shots without having to peek.

It's a no brain weapon and there's absolutely no risk just taking out your sniper and quick scoping/pre firing with a lineup and if you hit congrats you got an instant kill and if not not a big deal. This also makes every fight a coinflip cus you can play perfectly and bring someone down to very low hp and they can just insta kill you. You get the point, snipers are low key being used  as shotguns for a while now. The weapon has very little downside, considering all the other guns have much higher ttk.

The only games that have snipers one hit are also the games where you are one hittable with other weapons too. No other similar type of game has snipers be so powerful without a huge drawback.

i think snipers should be able to one shot people but the problem right now is that you can use a sniper effectively at any range. Splitting them into two broad groups could fix this, one is for long range engagement focusing on high damage to kill people in one shot but having the drawback of lower ammo, reload speed and zoom speed while the other group is more for quickscoping since people like to do that, it behaves the opposite of the previous groupd having high scope and reload speed with the trade off of only being able to one shot someone if you shoot them in the head or upper torso. This way you split a class of weapons that has always worked very well at any range into something more specialized so other weapons can shine. Though the other reason people have been using snipers so much in the betas is that its pretty much the only weapon that can kill since everything else feels horribly underpowered.

  4. Aye mate now this is solid feedback and im glad someone else is talking about the security problems this game has. We had hints this was going to happen when they said they would use the old anti cheating system surge had which was barely a knee high fence but let us hope they will make serious changes to this or otherwise the launch of the game will be an even bigger mess.
This last beta still felt quite bad because one we didnt get to test everything and second the weapon balance is still off, weapons simply feel underpowered and you notice this a whole lot more in zombies where i was seeing people tanking 5 guns pointed at them without much of an issue so i hope they are making changes here.
Rt weapons were never overpowered by themselfs it was a combination of them having stronger stats and being far easier to upgrade compared to mp that made them very strong, couple that with people who spend money on said weapons being far more likely to spend more to upgrade them to level 9 and you got the main issue with surge. Only really think that a select few weapons were truly overpowered, namely zeus hermes and some of the military gear.
Wont touch ranked because honestly i dont think microvolts needs or should have a competitive focused side. As for discord everything that should be said about it has been said already, its a colossal mess that could be fixed quite easely by having some actual moderation.

I really hope this feel comes back, because it's definitely possible. I feel like almost all weapons can be buffed for the most part, rifles especially still feel underpowered. Every weapon should be strong, but not overpowered. Every weapon has it's purpose and if you want to become the best player, you've got to learn them all very well (besides MG 😅). I'm excited for the competitive mode, but the game doesn't feel very competitive. Randomness in the damage, shotguns still being able to deal headshot damage (terrible idea, same with damage RNG), weapon inaccuracy and randomness, it needs some work.

The randomness isnt a bad thing because if you have a game with no randomness in anything it becomes boring. Weapon inaccuracy and randomness in its damage is there and should stay because a game that puts too much focus on player precision dont last very long simply because new people get destroyed and have no fun, so they leave and the game is left to die. Microvolts worked because its chaoticand had plenty of randomness that gave new players a bit of an edge. There was a video i watched by Shredednerd that touched on this quite well, its tittled "Dear developers, Stop listening to pros" and the title is true, if you listen to the tryhards that put thousands of hours into a game you will be listening to a tiny minority and designing a game that will be focused on consistency which negatively impacts not only new players but also casual folk which will be your biggest audience. This randomness also gives you those "how the fuck am i still alive?" moments that stick you with for a long time which is lovely as well. With that being said this game is very unique and its weapon roster should all be given an area that it exels at, shotguns at close range rifles at medium and to finish someone off and snipers at long range but the previous betas showed that sniper was being used at pretty much any situation which is something i hope they balance. As for mgs i ahve no idea what they could do with them, they simultaniously feel incredably noob to use beacuse high damage and ease of use but also very underpowered because of how easy it is to kill you. As for shotgun headshots i dont recal noticing this even back in surge, though i did notice very frequently that every so often my shotgun would do a lot more damage than normal but i just thought it was rngesus being on my side.

I must say there are loads of good memories. One of them must be just chilling out with people in voice chat on...I think it was Ventrilo back then. Oh the times.

I think I spent more hanging out with the community than in-game. And this also became my realization when I started MV again. It doesn't feel the same. I was pretty hyped when I heard MV would make a comeback, but after playing a bit, it doesn't hit that spot that I'm longing for.

Game is quite different than before, that punchiness weapons had is gone in pursuit of balance and competitive viability which really destroys a lot of games.

  7. Best thing anyone can do is to ignore the official server for the time being. It is very odd that they have 0 moderation and that the server feels so underdeveloped for the official deal. Just stick to other mv servers if you want to talk about the game and hang out with other fans of the game, or use the forums, ill even toss in a hug 🙂

  8. I can see why people are angry and im not surprised the game has turned into something that no old player would want to play since it just doesnt feel like microvolts anymore and no new player would want to play long term because its complex movement and nature isnt taught to the poor newbie. They are trying to do as little work on the game hence why they only want a select few weapons per category since that would be easier to implement. Funny how this aproach has forced them to have 3 closed betas that all kinda went nowhere and had very few people happy. On the bright side things have gotten slightly better with the latest beta.

It hasn't been 6 years of development. I'm pretty sure it's been a low priority project for Masangsoft for like 2 1/2 - 3 years, and only recently (the past year maybe?) have they increased dedication to working on the game. It's a small team that's been slowly expanding over time. Their betas are confusing, but they have more than enough resources and knowledge to make this game good, they're dedicated to that. There's almost no actual criticism or feedback in this post, best not to post when you're upset, it's a waste of time.

They worked on it back in 2018/19 since they were posting some news that really hinted that they were close to launch then there was a long stretch of silence.

  10. So we are getting close to the end of the third beta and i have to say that it has been better than the first and second one, they should have had this model of beta since the start and thanks to it i see more people playing the game. Hope to see you all this weekend and that some more test subjects lucky individuals have gotten into the beta.

I mean, it looks like you get better stuff out of the Capsule? Unless those 'basic' parts aren't Unlimited, then idk.

But as of now, way too less of available spins even with the 10k x2 offer.

Also, kinda off-topic but, I hope they're keeping the Upgrade Weapon Glows 😕

They could keep it as a cosmetic you get after using a weapon for enough time.
