I get what ur saying but you can make almost anything a toy if you think about it like that.

I knew about the Amelia promotion but its still a cool character and toy.

Like you said CHIP is a toy from a pile of trash put in a toy. So theres no need to remove some characters just because they dont fit in. They are still considered toys expect Simon imo looks to out of place.

Simon does look a fair bit out of place, like hes some sort of premium toy.

Every character past Kai (which is kind of unnecessary considering he's just a Naomi copy) should be deleted. My reason is that they were created as just cheap promotions for other games they have 0 part and place in the game, they don't even match the style?

I think they fit in quite well considering they are toys so different styles is to be expected. I mean if you think about it chip doesnt fit in because all others are actual toys with clothing and what not while chip is the odd one made out of trash.

So we have already passed the Christmas date of 24th December, is there a confirmed new date or any ideas?

Sadly no but honestly this isnt such a bad thing, it means they are changing the game to something we will actually play.

Yea i guess your right but it can make the new players grind more but firstly they need to implement a better training not just the one thats at the start of the with basic shooting, they need to add a movement training, shooting training and swapping training aswell.

The prestige system is a good thing in my opinion but everyone has their opinion thanks for sharing your opinion.

I would like to help them by making a pracice map that has some signs with how you can improve but i need gamebryo 2.6 and i cant seem to find one and i dont know if theres a good version out there because gabi/sw1ndle said that only him and his friends have it(i dont really want to buy it from the original site because i dont have that much money to spend on it and from what i seen you cant get it anymore from them i think).

Exactly a proper tutorial is needed to teach swapping and wavestepping. Swapping one shouldnt be too difficult to implement while the wavestep could be trickier, maybe an enemy between two objects with a pit in front of it that needs a double jump to clear ?

  5. Never understood the point of reseting your level with prestige, so why not instead give the bonuses and badges at said levels ? This way newer players wont get confused when someone they thought was level 7 has fully maxed out gear and perfect game sense.

The first car ever had a top speed of around 20km/h. It was considered such a safety hazard that it required 4 people to carry lights and ring bells around it at all times so that nobody would "get run over" because of it's incredible speed. Safe to say, the majority of people were against the idea of the car since a horse did the job just fine.

I believe the same with NFT's and yes, right now it's kind of a shitty 20km/h car that isn't very impressive but the potential it has in society is completely different from anything we've seen before.

All I'm saying is that you can choose which side of the table you decide to sit at.

Its very unfriendly to the enviroment, a cash grab, what could be the next financial bubble and its unregulated to such a ridiculous level people have been and will continue to be scammed to hell and back. This is not the future, its a problem. You also know for a fact that the moment the devs give the tinniest hints towards being interested in nfts that half the people here would leave and the other half would hold them at gun point, because again this is a problem.
Im not here to discuss this and wont be continuing this conversation further because this is supposed to be somewhere people to come to get news and talk about the game, i will however tell you that considering youre the only person here that supports nfts that you should maybe pay attention to everyone else around you here.

My guy you literally just described an NFT.

Except that steam items arent one of kind pieces with overinflated prices.
He meant the way you already own items in your steam backpack.

I believe this and more can be achieved with a smaller team and a smaller budget. Hence the reference to indie mobile games. It isn't a matter of size and budget but rather where that budget is spent and how the team is managed.

I truly believe that the changes the current team has spent countless months working on could be knocked out in a few hours.

As for NFT's, I'm not going to try to sell you on NFT's since clearly you're clearly not interested, but I can guarantee you that literally everything you pay for in the future is going to be an NFT. Whether it's a skin in a video game, a house or a snickers bar. Why? Because it makes sense. Of course at that point we won't refer to them as NFT's. At that point it's just a snickers bar.

My point is that you can either adapt now and gain from it or bicker about it until you don't have a choice.

No its really not going in that direction at all, just look at the backlash nfts have constantly been getting, people will not accept this and thats a good thing.

The upgrade system alone should be enough variety, never in MV's history were there weapons where there wasn't a clear option as to what stat would be the best, upgrading should be interesting and lead to a large variety of viable combinations. I'd be completely open for a few other "variants", as it's very possible to create more variety while keeping it balanced. Special series of weapons or something that are especially interesting, like a rifle with very slow fire rate, yet extremely high damage and accuracy. I think god weapons would be really cool to have unique stats if they ever bring them back.

Thats part of the idea but for example for rifles if they were to draw a line bwteen pepper and ak and put every other weapon in between those two it would be pretty nice, also ignore the weapons actualy stats what i meant with that example is the way they worked, pepper being accurate and fast firing but having little damage while the ak being the opposite. However the idea of having series of weapons that function differently, like auto shotties would be nice and if they are found to be too annoying restrict them to certain gamemodes. The old movic was hardly problematic in zombies.

Yeah Surge really wasn't too bad in terms of balancing of the base weapons, and I don't see these developers straying away from the 3 standard weapon variants were weapon class. If they just took those and tweaked them slightly I think it'd be great, if they don't have those numbers I'm sure someone does, sw1ndle probably. The problem with Surge is that basically every paid item was stronger than any MP item in many ways, some getting extreme like certain god weapons, which obviously makes no sense and is P2W and has no place in a modern game.

Thats the thing 3 weapons per class just doesnt sit well. I would prefer if they were to grab every single weapon from the capsule divide it in half where one half have stats and the other are skins, more work but games need variety as far as weapons go even if its a small difference.
Rt weapons were all better than mp ones that was by design to sell them but if you look at their stats alone they werent overpowered so balancing weapons around rt stats wouldnt be bad they were fine as long as the upgrade system is changed to something that doesnt have a ton of paywalls.

I'd really prefer like 2 betas per month, each lasting a week, and detailing their philosophy of the changes, along with communicating during the betas, and after to talk about what's change and their priorities now. It shouldn't take 3 betas to get a good balance, at this rate I'm going to be very sad if it's not at least good. I genuinely think if they went back to the old Microvolts Surge stats of the shop weapons and tweaked them slightly for balance and variety that it would be absolutely amazing. I think they're almost trying too hard, balancing isn't exactly easy, but it shouldn't take so long, what you need is a strong philosophy and consistency, all of which can be basically perfected using math and ratios. I'd do anything to help them more but it seems they don't want outside help. I hope it turns out well, I really do, but I've done everything I can already.

With you in regards to surge. The game itself was fine the main issue were paywalls but if you looked at the whole game without minding prices it was kinda well balanced.
If they started a big beta that lasted longer than a week and made changes as things went this could be going at a much smoother pace, as opposed to leaving us in the dark for two months to change a couple numbers.

  12. That is very unsurprising considering how bad the betas went. I believe they are going back to he drawing boards, maybe theyll think of a better way of communicating with us so they can ship the game in a way people will actually play.

  13. Thing is for them to give us feedback they would have to pile more work on leo which as far as we know is the only person working on the game. Were yet to see anyone else talk to us since microvolts the account is leos alt account and the gm one is his second personality manifesting in an account.

I agree, but within a month+ they could fix the majority of issues and push the game out sooner if they chose. Though I think that would lead to a worse outcome, it is possible. Especially with balance changes, though I understand that it's a challenge for them because they didn't play the original game, it really isn't that much work. I'd gladly help out in any way I can, but I've tried to contact them, they have my contact information, I wish they'd reach out, but they aren't. I'd love to work with them about balance, because I think I have quite a good understanding of it, and there are very few still around with a similar amount of knowledge and experience with this game. I really hope to see the next beta phase improve on the balance quite a bit, I've provided my feedback, I'd be quite disappointed to see it still be unbalanced.

    You and me both.

It sounds like they want to do a third beta phase, if that's the case, it'll probably be in 3-5 weeks, if they plan on releasing the game and not going into another beta, it'll probably be a similar timeframe.

They are going for a third beta, releasing the game as it is would be suicide.

  16. Honestly most of the info they got from us is that this beta sucked even worse than the previous one, somehow. They are trying to balance out the game by making it far less fun, its slow they still dont teach the core mechanic of swapping and are instead giving every class of weapons that needed swapping one that has very high fire rate with very little downside. Considering what they did to shotguns i really have no idea what the hell they are thinking. For the longest time we have been saying the same thing: surge was fine for the most part, give us that without the pay to win.

This community is starting to flounder. I do not rule out that the game will die within a few months. This is the current reality. Look around you and see how many games have died by the masangsoft company. I can say that this community has begun to divide and form multiple parties. So far, the game is not good or  Even close to that, so many random and inconsequential remarks by people, this game is messed up

They said nothing for years and then gave us something kinda shit. 5 years of waiting for this. Months between betas when all they change is a few numbers. This is whats killing the community, their lack of care.
