  1. Such a weird take. This is not true at all, and Rock Hippo barely had any say in the game content. Naomi and Kai are literally anime characters, you want them gone then? The whole reason there are so many great sets is thanks to anime.  I think staying true to the game theme is what will make the game great, not limiting the content inspired by Japanese anime lol.

Yours looks great! Personally I think I like them about the same but I wish someone would make one that more resembles the old logo, but modernizes it a bit. The old color scheme was so perfect. If you can, I'd love to see this logo you've made using the OG colors instead. So Micro would be basically the same, but Volts was more of the same color as the "Recharged", and Recharged being more reddish, at least that's what it was for the Surge logo. I quite like the 3D aspect of this one you've made.

I think new colours would be cool but it looks decent with the classic ones as well. Honestly anything would be better than the current logo imo. Blue and white is just not a satisfying colour combination.

Did you use gamebryo to use the map and if so what version did you use? im actually interested @ miwafoxl

Any version of Gamebryo, 2.6 or higher should be able to open the .nif, .kf and .kfm files but he probably used Nifskope, which is better in most aspects.

The game is built on an engine called "Gamebryo". Yeah I hadn't heard of it either until just now. For context, go look at their website. I'm no developer so I don't really know jack about shit, but from the looks of it, it's no Unreal Engine 5.

The shaders don't even compare to the graphics you'd find in a free indie game for mobile and I do not think they're going to get better any time soon.

    GRAPHICS

Completely re-design the shaders to match today's standard.

Yes, Minecraft was also released in 2009 and still looks the same, but you're not Minecraft.

MicroVolts uses Gamebryo 2.6. You're right it's not Unreal Engine at all. It doesn't need to be. The Korean devs did a really good job with the resources they had, and made the smart decision to do baked lighting, which is why the maps look really decent despite their old age and the mediocre lighting the engine actually provides. Also Unreal Engine does not run well on all computers. I tried Fortnite when it came out, at that point my pc was 2 years old and the game was still laggy. Now my pc is 7 years old, and MVR runs well, optimized mv clients run even better. Swithing engine is a waste of time.

The game really doesn't need new shaders or a new look. Comparing MV to Minecraft is weird, cause it's completely different. MicroVolts has decent visuals, even for today's standards. How it looks now is part of the charm, they tried porting the game to Unreal Engine, and know what? It looked terrible and bland. The graphics are hardly an issue at all.

    INNOVATION

Do something really unique! Right now the "metaverse" is something that is slowly boiling behind the scenes and in a few years it will be mainstream.

If MicroVolts was able to tap into Web3 and utilize NFT's, it would be FUCKING HUGE.

Right now, a bunch of studios are making their own "metaverses" and are working HARD to attract a player base. MV already has that player base and all it would need to do is to utilize Web3.

MV is a niche game, it will never be huge, and NFTs wouldn't change that. Imo NFTs would make the game less attractive and it just doesn't make sense for the game.

Don't think I could put it any better than what Nipyoo said vvv

A lot of people in this community have a misconception about Masangsoft. Masangsoft primarily purchases online games to maintain them, not to greatly develop them. They basically prevent them from dying and run them as a legacy service. It was also stated multiple times by Leo that they want to use a self-sustaining concept which provides them with income even without having to continuously add new content.

Also the previous developer NQ Games was backed by a big telecommunication company which provided them tons of sweet $$$ to develop MV. I highly doubt that it was ever profitable for them. In Korea, the game is mocked as Kimchi Fortress 2 and was a huge flop. The only reason why it survived in Europe is because it could run on every potato machine and had a hand full of players from every country creating a somewhat stable playerbase.

Let's not trick ourselves into believing that MV will become some sort of Fortnite 2.0 or will become popular in any other way.

Thanks for your feedback! we will look into it. If you don't mind, would you play more games and share what you experienced during the beta, please?
I'd like to check whether it's from negative feelings about unfamiliar changes or just bad-designed balances.

Can't edit my previous reply for some reason, but one specific thing that ruins the experience for me is the insane recoil that's been added. It's yet another thing used in other games that MV really doesn't need.

Yeah, I will probably play a bit more and see how it feels. Some of it may very well be based from the changes being unfamiliar, but that's part of the issue imo. I just feel like the changes should be based on improving the original gameplay, but right now it seems more the game is changed to be more similar to other games. For example the double zoom on all snipers. Some of these things should be more optional perhaps. I do believe the damage system needs to be looked at though, cause the damage dealt does feel very random which makes for a more frustrating gameplay experience.

I think it's really great that you and the team take time to actually read and even respond the the feedback. That alone is an immense step-up from all previous versions of the game, so that gives me a lot of hope regardless of how I feel about the game in it's current beta state.

The game before masang bought it already had more than 7 years of balancing, what was missing was the nerf on the bazzoka and grenade, and leaving the weapons with similar status based on the 3 adv. thing toyheroes has already done, focus on creating content, this beta 2.0 was terrible because it presented more of the same, everyone already knows microvolts, we need new things, skins, maps, modes, new music, new lobby, new hud, we need to feel that it is something different from the microvolts that are already more than 10 years old.

Honestly this. They overcomplicated things. The whole gameplay didn't need a total revision, they just needed to do something with the unbalanced weapons. Instead they actually made the gameplay way worse, and all damage feels random. People still played MV for a year before shutdown despite there being no updates. The gameplay mechanics wasn't the issue, the lack of new content was. Obviously new additions that actually improve the game are welcomed, but none of the changes they did to the gameplay mechanics or weapons have been positive.

Imo, this phase isn't that chaotic as in the previous beta, they did changes, EU server (which I randomly get crashed for no reason).

If you compared this to the 1st beta,  you may notice that they kinda listened to us.
The scoped sens I find it fine, don't really matter for me since I dont scope with rifles (who does that)
So, I'd say is okay, if I wouldn't get randomly kicked out from the game because their server ain't working properly...

The default zoom sens should be the one that was used before this new addition. I zoom a lot with rifle cause it improves accuracy. The gameplay actually was better last phase, it feels worse in this phase.

  10. I totally understand that it's still beta, obviously. But in comparison to the MVS gameplay, this feels really bad. The damage feels extremely random, the rifle/sniper sens was an unncessary addition that really messes up your gameplay if you can't find the original settings. The sniper zoom % is also awful and double zoom on all snipers is a really bad choice. The weapon stats feel a bit random. Overall it just does not feel satisfying to play at all.

So far all we know is that the game won't include monetization during the second beta phase, though if that's the case, I'm worried that the capsule may not get the testing it may need. I'd say to open up a test capsule for MP/coins so people can mess with it and give feedback. I'm a little confused on what this beta will include, simply because we haven't been told anything about it. Has weapon balance changed? What about parts/sets? Are we introducing more game modes with this beta? That'd be something important to test out, especially because beta 1 was missing quite a lot of them.

I'm very much looking forward to the second beta phase, I'd love to hear more about what it will include and what it's purpose is.

The capsule machine probably doesn't need testing unless they make changes to it or want to see how people feel about the luck % but i doubt it.

  12. Gonna keep this short. MicroVolts was always (imo) held back gameplay wise because of RNG. That issue is a lot bigger on this new version. The RNG is foul, the gameplay doesn't feel good at all, mainly because of how random and unpredictable any and all damage is. This should be fixed as soon as possible and should be a priority. Features are nice, but gameplay is the most important part, and it's severely lacking.
