It hasn't been 6 years of development. I'm pretty sure it's been a low priority project for Masangsoft for like 2 1/2 - 3 years, and only recently (the past year maybe?) have they increased dedication to working on the game. It's a small team that's been slowly expanding over time. Their betas are confusing, but they have more than enough resources and knowledge to make this game good, they're dedicated to that. There's almost no actual criticism or feedback in this post, best not to post when you're upset, it's a waste of time.
This comment right here - on the right track.
I think a lot of people forget how long the process of negotiating intellectual property actually takes as there's a need of an equal agreement from both parties, there may be clauses which we aren't aware of in terms of what Masangsoft can and cannot do, not only, but once finalised that it may take a while to find the right candidates for employment in various departments - such as frontend and backend. It could also be that these are not new employees at all and they're just using the existing ones from their current games to work on another project, making their time limited. Yes, quite time inefficient, but definitely money efficient. Followed by finding an appropriate business model to deliver it in on top of researching the game layout and brainstorming coherent ideas. It can be super time consuming. Fret not I haven't forgotten about the priority list this project may have been on (definitely super low, and I still think its fairly low).
There are other factors at hand as well, for instance the amount of old players they didn't expect and I'm sure this question has come across in one of their meetings ''Do we allow previously existing accounts (in the MVS version) to migrate to MVR?'' - some companies actually allow this to happen because they're great at inventing ways of making some of the money they're technically losing, back. They'd also have to keep us, oldies, pretty entertained through multiple ways - especially new content - because we're the ones losing the most, not new players, even if one could say our time has passed and we should let it on to the new generations (though I'm sure they're aiming for the younger target audience (12+) ). Nonetheless, it would just beg the question on how well they'd be able to deliver that.
I'm really curious as to what new content there can be delivered, since everything that they've showed us so far has existed previously in some form or another; or was discussed and never made; or should've been in the game a long time ago (a great example of this is the Replay System - happy for it, honestly). Releasing new parts won't be an issue at all, they can any time hire someone talented enough or take the easy route by simply doing a collaboration with a licensing party, which would be more efficient in the long term anyway. Though before any of this they need to address the major issues which have been talked about across the forum every single time, such as weapon balancing, bug fixes, resolution settings and pretty much the basics that were always a problem in MVS - some people don't want crazy new content but rather just fixes.

I think a lot of people within this community have gained an unnecessary amount of misconceptions as to what these past couple of CBTs have actually been about.
I won't comment on the other ones but just the 3.0.
Servers
We've been introduced to the promised list they've announced - great.
Now, in regards to the crash, visual bugs and other stuff. I have no clue why people are complaining, this has happened in the past with multiple other games, especially during actual releases; something will always go wrong and that's fine.
Anyhow, I'm glad to how it turned out.
Limited Capsule
Super niche feature that majority have not seen before, although I'm certain it has been used in other versions.
Now, I'm glad it does not involve RT as the primary source of using it, solely relying on MP. Though I'm sure RT will be an alternative if you run out on MP, and I think that's okay, in the end it still runs on MP as the base currency. Perhaps Coins will be added in the future as well.
The items are random, which is fine. Also, each capsule is unique and can only be owned by one player at a time. I think it would be silly if there were duplicates.
The timer in the CBT was set to 24hrs although this could just be for testing purposes and nothing official. I wouldn't give this too much attention for those that are worried.
MP Cost (Extremely Fair)
- New Capsule = 4,800 MP
- Per New Capsule = x2 Spins
- 1 Spin(s) = 2,700 MP
- 2 Spin(s) = 5,400 MP
You're essentially winning regardless as the two free spins you get while creating a new capsule include the rare items of dropping as well - hopefully this does not change. Considering we may possibly be given access to majority of capsules that exist within the game (apart from exclusives such as Christmas or Halloween which will be available at their designated time) I think this has to be one of the best changes ever made.
Daily Missions (pressing I/i)
Not sure how many noticed this one but yes, it is a thing. The only thing I can recommend would be to move this to a more well designed tab such as the Consecutive Rewards table - it just looks more organised that way.
Capsule
I'm fine with this remaining, but it does look goofy, unless renamed to something else, otherwise just remove it.
RT Cost
The prices are quite high, didn't expect anything else.
However, the only thing I'd ever purchase would be the Membership, it is the best value for people's money. If this received more attention to what it could offer at such a good price, I could see more people being inclined to buy it.
Modes
Fully aware of this being a testing phase, but I'm hoping the other modes will be included on release.
Replay
Glad it has been introduced and it works in a pretty cool way, but I'm sure it was fairly broken. Definitely needs a fix.
Level Icons
Revert them to the MVS ones, lol.
Weapons
Yes, I agree, we should've been given a lot more to play with, the basics are insanely boring, although I'm fairly certain they were not changed in terms of stats as this wasn't about them at all.
(Apologies in advance if stats were changed, someone correct me with actual images for the stats from the previous CBTs)
Resolution
There isn't much to say other than, please fix them, I cannot stand the blurriness - especially for 2560 x 1440
UX/UI
This needs to be fixed asap.
- Inventory/Shop Scroll Bar
- Icons (of all sorts - blurry or text/images overlapping)
- Weapon Icons (In-Match) - remove the name tags, it is terrible
- Unable to see enemy names during game
Bugs
Some of these still exist and I think it has gotten progressively worse since the previous CBTs as I encountered one that essentially did not let me see anyone's name whenever observing after dying. Whenever I'd die it would just tell me the name of the weapon - no icon, no name of who eliminated me, no details, etc.
I know perhaps these are not the focus as of right now, but I sure hope do they get fixed.
Achievements
I still think the rewards for each section should be changed into something more considerate for the time taken to essentially complete them - not just MP. Though nonetheless very pleased with this.
_______________________________________________________
Overall there wasn't much to play around with for today, perhaps we'll get something else tomorrow or the day after - fingers crossed - if not, maybe the upcoming weekend we'll see something different. I do recommend adding more items for us to play around with - whether they were RT based in the previous version or MP based, either will work.

Leo has stated in his announcement that the release will take place around August, yes, nothing confirmed or guaranteed, still quite the statement though. The funny part lies in how the CBT ends on 6th of August. I just find it quite unrealistic for them to release it in the same month considering they'll have to take feedback once again, review it, and test it within gameplay - unless they plan on speed-running this, lol.
On the other hand, perhaps they are simply just wanting to see how their latest changes affect gameplay on a minimal scale, considering the feedback since the last CBT and if they're all on the positive sides, maybe they'll be able to release it as said.
Any thoughts?

Yo...
Let's talk about the changes and how they impact gameplay, feel free to share your own thoughts.

Design Section
- Added Double Zoom
A niche change but unnecessary for every Sniper in the game - the whole point of having different options doesn't just revolve around the design of the weapon, but also what the stats were, some were great at doing more damage, others at quick-scoping, etc.
Adding this feature as a base-kit for every Sniper isn't the way to go and should be removed.- Reworked overall Weapons stats
Not all weapons feel balanced enough....I'm glad changes were made, but gosh it feels terrible playing with some of the Rifles, I don't want it to be so that there's just this one specific Rifle that can do everything perfectly. We need more adjustments. Not to mention recoil feels odd.
This applies for every other weapon though.Additionally, I feel as if Snipers should one-hit you if you're hit in the head.
- Removed [Bullet and Explosion armor] of parts (Only HP, Run speed, Bullets+ are obtainable)
Thank god....
- Removed Chat filters.
Multiple have said this already and to just support this further - the need of an OFF/ON option needs to be added.
Also please consider that some words are to be auto-filtered regardless of the option being ON or OFF - especially racist slurs.- Removed durability (Repairing)
Finally...Thank You!
- Switched the announcer’s voice to English ver.
Fantastic!
However, please pay attention to what the announcer says sometimes when playing a specific mode such as Elimination.
Instead of saying Elimination it says Sabotage. Those were two separate game-modes._________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Nothing else to say for the rest of the changes since they all seem to be fine.

Feel free to disagree with me, but the devs here need to understand that they can't just treat this place like it's one of their other corny IPs. Sure we got feedback from the beta, but in general it was a disaster and shows how not-good the current team is at managing events and betas...which is a very bad sign. And I know some of you might whiteknight and defend them, but remember that even NQ Games handled things better and they singlehandedly destroyed MV. They're people, sure, but still a company. The amount of times they mention costs and money leads me to believe that they're already in hot water and the lack of awareness is going to get the best of them. I just wish they were all active, and not just Leo.
the amount of unprofessionalism is crazy from the team

We will be announcing the changes made to the game upon patch notes during and after the closed beta. Some sort of sensitive information such as security-related info would be excluded though, we will try to share the progress and the history wherever possible.
Hey Leo, could you perhaps check the Support Tickets?

Hello to you all,
Surely this entire category will get insanely spammed with various posts, but I'll share the thoughts I currently have on the game.
Interface
- Yellow Names & Text Dialogue
I believe it was not intended to have it this way. In the past, only Staff Members were flagged with a different colour in chat, whereas general players would have white. It feels easier on the user's eye. Please also note that whispering to other players has the same colour, before it used to be a light purple. This also applies to the Team Chat which used to be blue.
This could possibly be due to everyone's Accounts being in Tester Rank/Mode, while not being able to access commands.
- Level Icons
As much as it is cool seeing a new approach, most would love to see the old ones back. Fit a lot better with the style.
- Achievements
Glad to see that new Art Styles have been introduced alongside the old ones.
- Interface & Friends Settings
Unfortunately we cannot explore those as of yet.
- Class Setting
Does not do anything, perhaps unavailable.
- Help Setting (F1)
When clicking on it, it would send you a message to press F1 for help. I tried and nothing appeared.
Gameplay
- Swapping
Not an expert, but it feels as if it has gotten slightly sloppy? Unsure exactly. Definitely different from what it used to be, great to see it.
- Weapon/Clothing Stats
How does everyone feel about it? I for one expected there to be a small difference between RT & MP ones, if not, perhaps all of them being the same? This has part in what we all call P2W, affecting the Gameplay by quite a lot.
- HP & Ammo Drop
Fantastic to see this feature back! Although it may be a little too much, as I remember it being lowered to 1 drop per person eliminated rather than 3.
- Characters Stats
Expected them to be removed as it helps in combat way too much.
- Weapon Names
Not a fan of having to constantly see the names of the weapons I'm switching to when in a match. This was not a feature before, and as much as it helps new players, there should be an option to remove it.
- Map Glitches
Those are still available. I'm sure it was intended to keep them, especially in Zombie Mode.
- Audio
Some of the Audio is not in English, and it super loud. For instance, when playing Elimination Mode and the Radar goes up, you'll hear a Korean Voice Line.
- Team Names & Enemy Names
Unless you're super close to a Team Member, you're unable to see their name. On the other hand, you cannot see enemy names.

Appreciate all the effort from Masangsoft & Microvolts Team into releasing the CBT, allowing us to experience the game once again, exploring all basic and fundamental features. I encourage everyone to understand that the whole purpose of this was to test whether or not the game is in working conditions.
Looking forward to hearing everyone else out.

Hello MV Community,
Let's ensure we follow the given format in order to keep a clean forum alongside helping those above understand issues we've faced throughout the CBT.
Additionally, although not necessary, feel free to bump this post in order to keep everyone aware.

Just in case someone caught up confusion with what email to check.
It is going to be the email used to create the Masangsoft account or what you've written up in the sign-up for the beta.

This screenshot is from steamdb.info on Microvolts Surge - simply hit the Charts area and you'll be able to see the all time online players. It seems that recently, as of 21st July 2022 someone logged into the game.

Unsure if you know but... you can see when Leo was last active. If you hover over his profile it says he last visited Wednesday at 7AM - I'm sure he's actively checking, but there's a lot to deal with.

You guys do realise that second half of 2022 is July, right? We haven't even reached that deadline yet. Its either sometime in July, or August, because they've released the announcement in February.
-
I mean theres literally a website for it, and I don't think its legit, they have about 13k members in their discord server, but why would any company use mega.nz or mediafire - if they're legit, they'll use steam or have an official form of download, not some third party lol.

I didnt say mv closed in 2016? i said this project here was first announced in 2016.
Jesus fuck. The fact that you come at me and say that nobody asked for my opinion implements that i am not allowed to freely say what i think ? Stupid.
Also coming at me like "nobody asked for [...] " .. seriously ? Who asked you to take part of this discussion ? Exactly nobody else? So actually in this scenario where you put yourself to the point to be the all knowing being you are actually becoming the delusional one. Holy moly.
Anyway im not looking forward to start a little cringy internet fight. Continue your little show if you have the need to.
But yet all i did was point out things that are odd. If you wouldve read what i said you would very surely accept that there are odd or suspicious things about them. Not saying that are evidences or some shit. But reason enough to consider stuff.
All i can say is that youre sad being asking for attention which i wish i didnt give you 'cause that will motivate to continue your little fight love story or whatever thats supposed to be. Sad i guess -
My god you're so cringe.
You've looked at the 'facts' wrong - not you saying MV closed in 2016, when it was actually 2017. There's no other explanation than what I've written, which seems more coherent than your nonsense. There's absolutely nothing 'odd', I'm sure there's a great number of reasons as to why they're late onto ensuring we get updated, and I can partly guarantee that one of those reasons revolves around their department, funds, and other stuff as I've mentioned.
Ah yes, I'm so afraid you've got me figured out! Dude, you're so delusional its actually crazy.
Also when the hell did I ever, within my reply, state that you're not allowed to share your theories? 💀
Simply stop telling people what to do, I'm sure nobody asked for your opinion, or advice.
- 1
-
Quite the theory you've got there, you almost have them red handed!
Unsure of the exact date in which Microvolts shutdown when NQ Games had the rights (around Summer of 2017). Though I'm certain it isn't as easy as said to legally sell a license to a new developer. There are surely some procedures to go through at first. Leaving that aside, each company has its own divided attention to specific departments. Its not as if they'll immediately shift attention to another game (Microvolts in this case), from their initial focus - Ace Online - among other projects ongoing such as DK Online. It requires funds, employees, and effort overall, in which all undergo a given progress, whether it may be slow, medium or fast. Perhaps the funds may be there, but finding the right people could take eons; or vice versa - just giving examples. Along with many other issues they could be potentially facing which resulted into delays repeatedly.
Point across - making assumptions when you're unaware of their internal situation, isn't too great.
Its understandable to be frustrated over the long awaited time, only to be rewarded with such little, but at least be grateful its progressing, even at this slow rate. Additionally, please stop being cringe with telling people they should move on, worry about yourself.

I'm not defending it?
I'm simply stating what are the reasons for their poor service for MVR. What part from that did you not get?
Anyway, why are you here? If you dislike them so much, why are you still bothering to look over the forum?
