  1. Yet again, love your art, as desperate as ever to commission you.

Although, gotta disagree with the GungHo part. The few people at RHP, at the beginning of RHP publishing MV, did great in my opinion.  BreadnButter taking the cake ofc. With personal favorites such as cautioN and TreasoN/Bacon as icing on the cake that made the game as good as it could be, in my opinion of course, since many others did a ton for the game, regardless of standing, both in RHP and the community.

  2. Sorry in advance if the promotion we're doing is becoming a bother.

Just wanna continually attempt to centralize the community in some way, shape or form, and given our current success, and what we have in store, already fully functioning and ready to be set on, we'd think it would be alright.

Any criticism, opinions or constructive feedback is always appreciated and greatly taken into consideration ofc!

  3. Since everyone else seems to be popping up left and right, I might as well.

    14karam

Or that one overly embarrassing & annoying kid who had the time of the world commenting on (almost) every single MV-related video with the absolute worst kind of pirate-grammar. Yeah, it's not looking good

I genuenly thank you for correcting me, I am not rly an expert when i comes to publishers, game developers, i just used things that in a general language refere to staff and all that, I on the other hand wanted to be more acurate about why Microvolts didn't shut down when it should have in the first place, TOH staff and why it is illegal but thank u rly for making the information more acurate in a domain i know nothing about and i am looking forward to reading what you can come up with as the history of the game. Have a great day!

My pleasure! We'll be making a channel about it in our community discord called '#📙︱microinfo-102', so stay tuned and don't hesitate to join in the meantime: discord.gg/UN66G3gW6Y.

The short answer is yes. If you want to know to full answer, like the reason why it is illegal, it is because like any other game, MicroVolts, has copyrights and the previous owners (rockhyppo, which turned out to be some kind of fake thingy, idk about the whole story of why and how it was fake and etc) sold the rights to the game. After selling them to Masangsoft they kept the game on for another like 3 years or 4, leaving the game unattended (no seasonal updates, atihack protection, bad and slow support service and all that stuff) also leaving the christmas background and most of the important sets and items in the capsule machine to squeeze money as much as they could before closing it. Toy heroes was, however, like any other private server, created illegally by some random people who wanted money and it was developed while mv was still working knowing that mv would eventually be closed. Now, the thing is that even though it is a private, illegal server it can't be closed at the moment, the only thing that keeps all the private server from being closed is that people don;t know of them and they are created for a few people to play on, like the developers are just freinds who wanna have fun and they just don't spread it that's why it is not tehnically illegal to create a private server for u and ur friends but the moment u create a payment system and spread it so that a lot of people can play on it, mainly the idea of you getting money from something you don't own any copyrights to in the first place maked it illegal. So an an answe i can tell you that it is totally illegal, the staff is 100% aware of that, and most of the people playing it are either aware or have been warned that it is illegal and the consiquence of the buying stuff on it is that the game can close at any moment. The staff however has no intention of closing the game until they get to squeeze even the last possible cent from their players, the main prove for that is that they are afraid of mv being released that's why they have recently risen the rare item drop chance and other stuff that makes you want to spend moeny in the game. Also for the ones wandering why the game it is not closed yet, it is bcs, as i stated earlier, it becomes illegal when u earn money from it but it also becomes a problem that has to be solved when the original game has to take back it's players and gain the money they rightfully deserve through owning the copyrights to the game, which means that the moment the original mv is released they have to close the game if they don't want any real trouble, or even sooner, when the closed beta gets released. Hope this is helpful and sry for being a blabbermouth.

I swear I appreciate your effort to explain the situation (as the 'yes' and copyright part was all it really needed as well as being the simple truth), but the misinformation in this is so unfortunate.

We need to be able to differentiate and make distinctions between publishers and game development companies. RHP is simply a publisher, who 'sold' and 'fronted' the game, took care of at-hand customer service through 'tickets' and support, whereas NQGames, the actual korean-based company who created and steered the game, simply worked on everything. RHP just communicated that content and everything else NQGames provided them with, as well as telling them what to do, etc. in an English fashion, just like the other providers did.

To be a bit more specific, the game, 'Microvolts', is actually just an English version of the original korean game called 'H.A.V.E Online'. Just like how Toy Wars (Thai, published by TOT), Microvault (Arabic, published by Tahadi Games) and other games were other types of the same game, all originating from H.A.V.E Online as its main 'predecessor'.

I hope that makes sense. We're working on conveying this exact 'origin'-like information on our community discord server to better help everyone else (returning) to be properly educated on how this whole game came to be, why we're in the current position we are now, etc.

  10. Are there still a community/consumer-base demanding to consume the game? Seems like it from the response and feedback in general. And it'll show what kind of engagement the community contains once the game does release in terms of putting back quality content, effort, etc. into the game as a community.

Do the same community/consumer-base feel like there is a distrust in terms of communication between provider and consumer? Seems like it as well.

Just got to wait it out and see both for yourself; the game and the kind of community that'll come and develop with it.

Ill wait for official Discord server tho

Completely understandable. We're just trying to create a pre-environment and, potentially an environment that is more advanced and puts more effort into its social setting that previous ones (since the few who came together all have worked with Discord prior and engage/invest into it frequently)

Wrong. He was online few hours ago, you can see on his profile 🙂
He's obviously checking forum so that's very good sign!

Well, obviously, I made my comment prior to that and I made sure to add to be critical and aware of if they do show signs of being online and active, and for them to check back in is definitely a good sign, I agree. But yeah, nothing wrong with being critically capable.

  13. For starters, the PD who shared those most recent notes/news haven't been online ever since they posted that. As in, haven't given the forum even a glimpse, which we can consider for the future if anything does/doesn't change.

    Hello!
I can see you are a little upset, but you don't have to.

As long the administrator of the game was changed (Leo) is the new one, that means most probably the Ex-Team had trouble with the game, or they just sold the project for a better team.

Of course, the previous team was also working at the project, but once they changed the Director of the game (->Leo), most of the stuffs and plans was changed or at least continued by the new team (Maybe?)

All we have to do is to wait official updates and that's all.

By making a new forum, for sure they just wanted to keep the evidence of the new and active users, and simply verify the forum using this platform because the last one was overwhelmed with post collected over 4 years.

So... Let's be patient and wait their result. I'm pretty sure that's going to be a nice result❣️

The fact that you thought of a fabricated idea of how things might have happened internally at Masangsoft, allowed yourself to believe it was the case and shared it through a forum post being like 'yeah, that makes sense to post' is ascending me.

Let's normalize something: It is okay to be (constructively) critical and quote-unquote 'not happy' about something. It usually always leads to improvement, since it almost always allows for problems to be made more clear, to then be required by the masses and eventually forced to work on/out by the consumers making up the brand.

I really encourage people to consider the fact that was shared a few posts prior to mine:

    Quote

masangsoft has made a new forum for every game on february 8th, not just microvolts.

that should at least make you feel 'critical' towards the shared notion that things might change communication-wise.
I am not trying to tell you be 'unhappy' or feel negatively about anything. It is just healthy and, to some point, important for your own sanity to not allow yourself to be persuaded into feeling anything that some post or PR stunt might want you to feel. Not saying it is, but just trying to exercise and share the potency of critical capability

  15. On the note of spreading the word around to friends and having them in the known about everything, just wanted to drop that we're attempting to centralize the community with this attempted community discord server, so if anyone is having trouble finding places to gather and socialize, don't hesitate to join at discord.gg/UN66G3gW6Y.

We try our best to put as much effort, fun and creativity into the server, so don't be afraid to critique us on it! (And we plan on collaborating with the game company if possible, so a collective effort would be appreciated if you'd find the server worth it 😊)

On the topic of communication, we've always been deprived of that as a community, so demanding that definitely should be taken as a major, if not most important, piece of advice to the company reading up on this/(re)creating the game!

  16. For anyone already aware, sorry for the repost and feel free to ignore! I just realized they had a rule about linking and staying on-topic, so I wanted to move the post here and give it a tag as well for Discord.

Basically, for anyone unaware, a few experienced and at-corporation workers for Discord have banded together, and continue, to work on an MV community-focused discord server that'll do its best at centering around the community itself, as well as the future game coming out soon (hopefully), instead of segmenting the community further as yet another discord server related to MV.

We hope you guys will like it as much as we did putting it all together - here is an invite link to share around at discord.gg/UN66G3gW6Y.

Thanks again in advance, regardless of if you join/peep the place or not, for reading through the thread!

    -----

Don't be afraid to leave suggestions or critique on the server down below as well!

Our goal is to potentially partner up with the team working on the game to outsource their need to work on socials/allow them more undivided attention onto the game and essentially be able to do (more) creative stuff that would represent both the needs of the company and the community (which was an issue back when other publisher/companies owned and administered the game).
