  1. As of right now, I don't think a trading system is necessary yet, it would be great to have one tho. Also let's not forget that it might be possible to make the game steam market compatible, since as of now it's only available on steam. The best option would probably to have a steam inventory, trading and a market place similar to other games(like C's, TF2, PUBG and alike). This would probably one of the safest methods to implement a trading and marketplace system.
  2. Hello! As I had a lot more time to test things out this weekend I can happily say, I really enjoy the general gameplay, however there still needs to be some balancing done aside from fixing other small issues which i've noticed. So lets get Straight into the weapons. Weapons Alright, let me start this by saying, I didnt play each and every of the weapons enough to give extremly good feedback, but from what I've noticed the next few suggestions are worth lookin into. Type A Weapons: Melee: As of right now the supposed runspeed melee is for sure the weakest pick. It deals barely any damage and isnt even fast enough to actually make up for these minuses. It should at least have as much damage as the Type B Melee. Type A sports the least damage for even tough it should be on par with Type B. Rifle: this is probably the most balanced rifle, personally id like to see the base ammo increased from 30 to 35, but thats about it. Shotgun: Personally I think its in an alright spot, it could use a little more power, or range but thats about it. Sniper: I honestly didnt play it enough but it could definetly use more power. Gatling: Honestly speaking, all displayed stats are just fine. however, the ingame accuracy is extremly terrible for having these average stats. Bazooka: Seems fine. Nade: 100% needs a nerf in both power and blast radius. Type B Weapons: Melee: Persoanlly speaking, im not really A range melee user, but as already stated in the A Type melee point, either power nerf the B Type melee or buff A Type's power accordingly. Rifle: Hands down the worst rifle. The stats are really just all over the place. While it has the most power, its not enough to justify the slow Firing rate or the Terrible accuracy. It 100% needs to be buffed to a 750 or 800 Firing rate and like a 670 or 680 base accuracy. Shotgun: What can i say? Its a KW but 10 times better. Its good that there is a Shotgun where you kinda need to swap, I like that the mechanic is still here, but please, there is no world where this shotgun need 1600 base power, thats just not it, if definitly has to get nerfed in one way or another, otherwise the other shotgun types, as of right now at least, dont really stand their ground against it. Sniper: B and D type share the same stats so ill just bring them both into here, the only stat thats kinda ok is the power, which for as slow as these snipers are is not powerful enough, either this sniper gets a slight damage buff an adjustment reguarding zoom and reload speed. Gatling: This Gatling is probably the most balanced weapon of the three, it pretty average in mostly all stats and thats kinda good. Bazooka: I like it the way it is, mabe it could use like a 50 point firing rate buff but thats not really that important. Nade: It really is just kinda here, its got the highest firing rate, that being said, its not too fast to the point of a lvl 9 pulse from mvs days. its in a good spot for what it does. Type C Weapons: Melee: I dont know what it is, but if seems off, its got the most power and is just as fast as a Type A melee, which just straight up shouldnt be the case, from what i can tell, its either glitched or the speed difference is so minimal that ist straight up not worth getting a speed melee right now. Rifle: this is probably the most broken rifle of them all. the firing rate is too high for the too good accuracy and on top of that its got the most bullets in the mag. If the firing rate stays like that, then it needs to be way more inaccurate. If the firing rate would be reduced to 1000 its still way to accurate, and would still need a nerf to 880-890 accuracy. Either 1100 fr and 850 and below accuracy or 1000 and smth between 880-890 Shotgun: Its a fun to use shotgun, but its just lacking in the reliability department, either it gets 3 in the mag or more power, since the fast firing rate is just so out there that it makes the gameplay feel a bit off. Sniper: This one is just fine as it is. Theres something about it that makes for a good goof every now and then but its not too good to be reliably abused by someone. Gatling: Yea this one it kind of extreme, i mean its basically a two hit, which for some reason doent make it hardcore op. Id still say nerf the damage a tad bit and we good. Bazooka: Has no bussiness being as good as it is. The slow firing rate and 2 instead of 3 bullets literally dont matter at all, it needs a little bit of that power nerfed out of it. Nade: It literally worse than the Basic grenade launcher. which should probably not be the case? the only stat their even in is reload speed. It either has to get mor balast radius than the type a nade or a power buff to 830 to 850. Overall toughts about weapons While i didnt specifically test out each and every weapons reload speed, i have to say Shotguns, Snipers, Bazooka and Grenade Launcher reload speed dont feel up to par. Its not somthing that you notice every time, but in the situations that matter your more like to not have a realoded gun than actually being able to fight the way youre used to. Misc Alright, after that lenghty weapons stat text from just now I hope youre still with me. This next part isnt exactly only about bugs, but some things that I've noticed while playing. As I already mentioned in my last post the Gracious Top for Amelia still freezes the game for a few frames whenever someone with it equipped joins the room for the 1st time. Here some new things I've come to notice. Once a game ends and you open and close chat during the XP screen your Cursor dissapears and stays gone unless you reopen the chat. Its either intentional or not working properly, but I've noticed that if the Host disconnects from the room, either someone random, or someone from the same team gets host, while not the best Ping is kinda not included in that anymore, or maybe it is but not as priority? For some reason the no-scope sniper Damage is a lot higher than usual. going as far as 1k + damage on a no-scope headshot. The shield still doesnt block freeze or burn damage. The basic weapons need stats different from any other weapon type. Drawing lots displayes a wrong error message when trying to spin over the amount of items left in the capsule. I've noticed that my Game didnt crash when quickly selling items. The missions Icon is yet again the wrong one. (Its text is in Spanish instead of English) There doesnt really seem any actual benifit to using speed parts, since there isnt any Bullet or Blast protection. Which makes speed parts effectifly as good as not having any option on them. Auto Zoom on snipers, while its not always noticable its kinda annoying, either get rid of it or even better make it a toggleable choice in the settings. Thats about all I've got to say so far. I'm really enjoying the changes they made. The game feels new and yet fmilliar at the same time, which is important for both new and returning players. As a closing note, dont mind the english i wrote here, theres for sure mistakes in there, but it is what it is. Yall have a good one!
  3. That's just a straight up no. There hasn't been a single version of the game where Basic weapons were borderline unusable. As of right now these weapons are not in a good state. Some are too strong and the rest is utterly useless. After completing the tutorial in MVS you used to get a few mp and a full set of weapons, which was a nice feature. That's not the case right now and if it stays like that they need to balance the basics properly. A rifle that can't rifle isn't a rifle. There's a few more gameplay and balancing issues at hand, specially in the Tank and Speed stat department. Either way, I'm excited to see where things go in the next beta and I hope they implement some of the good feedback that they have been getting.
  4. Ayyo it be me, this i gonna be a quick feedback post to the weapons as of right now with a small not on an amelia set. Basically the weapon balance from this beta compared to even the 1st is not an improvement what so ever. To bring it to the point: Melee - Feels extremely unresponsive, not sure if its the range or the clunky hit reg of them. Rifle - with the way it is right now, its actually worse than a DH from old MVS. Its way to inaccurate even if you level it on Accuracy. it does not deal enought damage for being so inaccurate and having such a slow firerate. It would be better to give it a moderate amount of accuracy, about 35-40 bullets, about 750-800 firing rate and depending on the you figure out how much damage it shopuld do. (Seeing as it performs it should probably keep the damage and just get a buff in all other stats) Shotgun - All i really have to say about that is nerf the damage, theres no world in which you should be able to more reliably use a shotgun to dome someone long range than a rifle, or even a sniper. Its simply to powerful and i dont get why they changed it from what it used to be to this. Sniper - Alright, the poor jam got absolutely dunked on. the zoomspeed isnt good and neither is the reload speed. Generally speaking it needs to be faster if yall keep its power the way it is. 2063 isnt nearly strong enough to justify the absolutely atrocious zoom speed. Gatling - not much to say about it. right now it just seems very much not usefull at all. The bulletspread is just not cutting it, make it more accurate. Rocket and Grenade Launchers - I've got nothing much to say about them tbh, i didnt use them anough yet. but the spam is back and its just as bad as always. a suggestion would be to make explosives less powerfull by simply nerfing their damage output. However i think its important for explosives to at least 1 hit a full speed person on a direct shot, which it currently doesn't. Gracious Top - For whatever reason the gracious top freezes the game for a little less than a second whenever someone using amelia with the gracious top equipped joins the game. im not sure if its a server side problem or a client side problem. from what i can tell its not only me whos got the issues, since a friend of mine has the exact same one. maybe look into that as well. Final thoughts: Alright, we're not far into the beta, but i have to say I really dont like the Balance changes, since we only have access to the basic weapons and a few parts. So far the Limited Capsule seems nice, but im not entirely sure about what the final version is going to look like. The part leveling works just as good as the last few times, servers are running fine as well (Note I couldn't play right as it came out but I read that they had issues before). Really the only thing thats kind of a bummer is that we dont have access to the weapons from the last beta as well as the stat balance of the basic weapons being all over the place and far from good. I'm guessing that we'll be getting access to more items in the next beta period and so on. I also have to say that i really hope they didnt change up the new weapon types they introduced us to in the beta. I know a lot of people will disagree, but its a good change for old and new. hope yall have a good one
  5. I'm actually so hyped for the demo reviewer! I've been dreaming of that for a long time now, really excited to have it happen!
  6. Obviously, MVS was the best so far. Keep in mind that the current closed beta is to test the balance of gameplay, nothing more nothing less.
  7. no, what im saying is that we're currently moving in the right direction. the system is good, but it need proper balancing, which is exactly what the beta is for i've made 2 posts that go into detail about thats and my thoughts on them before, suggesting many things. The game needs to move forward to survive. Nostalgia is a big thing specially in the mv community, but we cant be stuck in the past. Remenicing is good. Making new fun and lovable memories is better. I said before that its hard to please both old and new. devs are tryin their best to please both old and new and all i hear and see is complaints about how its different. saying spamming is the best way to get new players is missing the entire point. in fact its exactly whats the problem for the game. relying on borderline broken mechanics and then complain about it when gets made accessable for every one. spamming does not need skill nor brains. having more ppl spam wont fix the issue, but at least its not smth thats gonna be considered skill anymore. shotguns shouldnt 1 hit. explosives main focus shouldnt be killing but rather gameplay manipulation during encounters with others. either swapping gets removed entirely or its getting balanced in a way where its not op which is whats happening right now.
  8. on god, let me make this clear once and for all. 2 of the 3 shotguns dont need to be swapped anymore which is a good thing, the best shotgun currently is the bombard, but only if you are capable of swapping with it. and that is a ok. this game will not live on for a long time if it gets catered towards the same old audience from 10 years ago. Games in general, especially free 2 play titles survive off of new players. so it is of utmost importancy to keep new players coming, making the swapping mechanic needed to compete is a bad desicion for the games life span as well as the community. also you didnt need to swap rockets and grenades in the past. it would be good to know how to swap for rocket launchers yes, but for all of the nade launcher swapping benefits them so little that you might as well just not do it(unless you are talking about every itteration of old MVS items then yes swapping would've benefitted most of them a lot, but since its all just gonna be reskins anyways this literally isnt an argument). also wave stepping/ninja swapping and whatever else there is is still a thing, which makes the true skill difference. In conclusion: Keep swapping? Y E S 100%. Is it good that you dont have to get the mechanic down to perfection to at least sort of compete? YES. Do the weapons still need to be rebalanced properly? Of course they do, thats literally the point of the current beta. Would it be better if you needed to swap every weapon? Absolutely not. That would hands down be the worst case scenario for the game. I'm not saying swapping is bad. But what I am sayin is that things need to change, so that the game can enter a new Golden Age and it is up to us to provide the feedback to make that happen. I hope you can get and at least sort of understand where I'm coming from and give it a little thought about it. With that I wish yall a very nice and fine day.
  9. to state this yet again, they havnt removed swapping, its still a good skill to have and makes you a more skilled player which allows you to play in a higher tier, but its not as hard for newcomers anymore to get into the game.
  10. lets make this clear. should there be swapping? Yes! 100% its a mechanic that makes MV's core gameplay unique. Is there currently a swapping mechanic in game? Yes, there is. Does the mechanic benefit the weapons? yes it does. the only exception being 2 of the 3 shotguns, which is 100% fine. It is good to see that they remove a mechanic that makes it borderline impossible for new players to compete against old players, unless they almost dedicate their whole life to it. they are far from fine, but its a step in the right direction. Both rifles and shotguns need adjustments, like basically all weapon types right now, which is exactly what were here for since we are currently testing out whats going on with the weapons. While it is important to listen to the community and find ways to improve the game via suggestions the community makes, they should definitely not revert the shotguns to how they were. Right now all 3 shotguns have a unique way of usage, making all somewhat viable. Back in the day the shotguns just got progressivly slower and stronger on paper, which would be good, but since all shotguns were capabale of 1 hitting anyways, you'd mostly pick the one that could be swapped the fastest rendering the others borderline useless (unless you were goofin around, lets be real). They should not revert it to that.
  11. This is a continuation of yesterdays post, please make sure to read it, since ill be building on that one. I'll try and post it in the Comments. New thoughts about Weapons: Alright, so after more playtime using different kinds of weapons, I've got some more feed back about them. Rifles: For the 3 Rifles thers gotta be some changes. Overall the Hornet looks to be the best, the only thing it could use is a slightly bigger Magazine. The Sherlock on the other Hand really needs a slower Firing Rate as it gets way too inaccurate way too fast. Similar things go on withe the pepper, however significantly reducing the Firing Rate and buffing the damage by a bit so that the TTK is not affected by it a lot. Seeing as the Firing Rate would be lower it also doesnt need as many bullets anymore, a reduction of about 5 would seem fine in my eyes. Shotguns: Every Shotgun got some kinks to work out, I personally enjoy the new way they get represented and in my eyes its a welcome change, especially good for newcomers. Lets start of withe Bombard. Imo its damage is a little too high. ensuring a lot of 1-hits where they shouldnt be. Lowerin the damage by a bit might make it less reliable for that guaranteed kill and make the overall play more interesting. <-- this is also whats importen for the other shotguns. they shouldnt really be 1 hit machines. Moving on to the Driver and KW. Both weapons have seen some drastic changes to how they were in ealier games, but thats totally fine by me. I even think its better that way, seeing as newer players dont have to learn and master a mechanic that has been around for years is gonna make the game more appealing towards a brighter audience, especially since swapping is till usefull on some weapons, making it still a good thing to eventually get down, but not mandatory. Anyways moving to weapon changes, The Drivers amount of bullets is totally fine, however the damage should be reduced since with a mag size and firing rate like that it should not be able to one hit someone. KW is a little difficult to talk about, however i feel like it would benefit having 3 bullets in the mag rather than 2 also lowering its Damage values as to make it not to free of a kill. Sniper: As mention in Tuesdays post the Scoped sens is too low. Also the zoom range is way to high on both Sea Eagle and Venom. The main Problem with the Sea Eagle as of right now is its Zoom Speed, bumping it up a bit would be quite nice, as to not make it too useless when trying to quick scope, however it is important to understand that as of right now the Sea Eagle is supposed to be the Slow but High Damage Sniper. Do not increase the Zoom Speed too drasticly. The Mist is and interesting Concept but needs some big changes, a lower Firing Rate would be welcome, since as of right now it shoots faster than the Sherlock, I get its supposed to more like a the fast, low damage kinda deal but thats a lil too fast. it would also be good to remove the fully Automatic shots and have it have Semi-Auto instead. Last thing for the snipers, remove the Auto Scoping thing. Gatling Gun: Both DareDev and FireFly seem good in my book, however the Crank needs to be looked at, since it is displaying a hight damage value that clearly isnt representitv of the actual power it has (unless it is, i dont know i didnt really get too many chnaces to test it out sadly.) Explosives, lower Firing Rate on both Rocket and Grenade Launchers as well as a slightly smaller Blast Radius. Damage on Pound and Pulse are way too high, lowering it would benefit the other two options in the class drasticly. Also as already stated yester, the Mad Wrench is clearly broken, the displayed Run Speed value would be good for a level 7-9 runspeed melee, however it is clearly at least 2 if not 3 times as fast. Something else I've noticed is that the Spawns seem a bit too random, often times spawing you outside of protection or cover. Would be good too take a lot at the Spawnarea and the System surrounding it. As of right now this would be all i have to say regauarding weapon balance. I've noticed something quite nice earlier today, you can respec your upgraded Parts and Accessories which is quite good actually. I also generally like the Fact that you are able to choose what kinds of stats you would like to have. I seriously hope that through our help, the Team behind MVR can improve the chnages to a dergree where its good for both old and new players as it is important to understand that the Game is NOT meant for the old School long term player, but its also for NEW players, that have never played it before. It is pretty difficult to get both old Players Satisfied and not scare new players off and i think as of right now the weapon chnages show that there is some serious care put into that. Thanks for trying to make both old and new players happy. Really hope this gets some sort of traction and thoughts, would love to hear them!
  12. just let people unlock the icons and let them use them as they please, making the individually changable, simmilar to calling cards, emblems and prestige icons from call of duty.
